Re: Memory Slots

They are under the key board on left side, the tilt up and then out.

Re: Memory Slots

I wasn't able to find where exactly your memory modules are located, but there are either on the bottom of the laptop with just a screw and plastic cover on top of them, or they are underneath the keyboard.

Here are the specs for the Armada M700. This will let you know what type and how large you can take it too.

Can i buy and install my own memory upgrade? if so what are size and compatibility issues to avoid? thanks

Toshiba Satellite A135-S2356 has a maximum of 2GB which can be installed in the maximum 2 memory Slots in the memory compartment: 2 X 1GB PC2-4200 DDR2 SODIMM (200 pins) memory stick.
Note that in general, especially for older laptops, that you should not mix different size/brand of memory stick as the unit may even fail to boot or can behave erractically (reboots or system freezes).
Hope it helps.

Who can show me how to upgrade ram for aspire 4720

On the bottom of the laptop your going to see a very big door that has about 6-10 screws holding it into place.

take out all of the screws and then the door should come off. Your going to see two slots and either one or both slots will have memory sticks in them depending on your configuruation.

To insert the 1GB of stick into the slot you need to align the slot on the bottom of the memory stick with the nudge on the slot. The memory can only go in one way. If both slots are taken up with memory then you need to take one of the memory sticks out and to do that just move the spring loaded latches away from each other and the memory will come out.

If you need further help then let me know.

Memory replacement v5535

Most of the laptops come with 2 memory slots . Hopefully one is left empty . It is situated at the back of your laptop the cover of which will be having the sign of a memory module. A single or 2 screws will be holding the cover in place. The memory usually is held in place with 2 clamps. Just slightly push claps in outward direction and it should pop up the module. Just clamp it back in place.

Toshiba m105-s3084

Number of Slots:
Slot 1 Slot 2 Normally you will find the 2 slots, one above the other.
Each memory slot can hold DDR2 PC2-5300,DDR2 PC2-4200 with a maximum of 2GB per slot.*
*Not to exceed manufacturer supported memory. Although the memory can be installed one module at a time, the best performance comes from using matched pairs of modules. Make sure that both are fully seated prior to powering up the laptop.

Reg ram upgradation

Each memory slot on the C555NR can support a maximum of 1GB of RAM. There are actually 2 slots, but only one is easily accessible to you. By upgrading both the primary and secondary DIMMs, you could achieve a total of 2GB of memory but you would have to remove the 512mb chip that is already installed and replace it with 1GB (+1GB in the expansion slot as well.)

If you don't plan on taking the computer to a professional to be serviced, you will probably only want to upgrade the memory in the secondary slot located under the memory cover on the underside of the computer. It can handle a 1GB SODIMM.

FYI the memory is:
200 Pin DDR2-533 PC2-4200 SODIMM

Good luck!
