Usually when you have zero spark, it's one of 3 things. Either there's a shutoff that is trying to shut it off when it's not supposed to, the coil is bad, or the flywheel key is sheared.

Toro CCR 2450, Common starting problems? Fresh gas/oil mix. Good compression. Just pulls, no pops or sputters.

Next step would be to check the ignition module(coil),I have a lawnmower that uses the same 2 cycle engine. Check coil for spark by removing the spark plug from the block then connect the insulator side of the sparkplug back to the coil then ground the plug by touching the threaded side to the block away from the sparkplug hole while turning the engine over. Should see a spark, if not you'll need a new coil, not hard to replace. calls for Briggs & Stratton #80-1268 you can also use a Toro/Lawnboy coil #99-2911 or #99-2916 or #684049.

24 horse brigs with 100 hrs has no fire. Help

You can take the engine shroud off and clean the magnets on the fly wheel. Also clean the two little prongs that are close to the fly wheel. They will rust up and you won't get the pulse needed for the spark plug. With the shroud off check any wires that might be damaged. Mice like to make nests in the engines and love to chew on the wires. When cleaning the fly wheel magnets use emery cloth or fine sand paper. Also check the connector that attaches to the spark plug. In you didn't replace spark plug I would suggest doing so.

Good luck. Let me know if this helps.

Briggs & Stratton engine loses power

Hello herb1007
If it is running it would burn any oil off the top of the piston. (that got there when you tipped it). It sounds like you carburetor needs cleaning. There are sprays on the market that sometime help with this.
