Re: my amp

It sounds like the amplifier has shorted output transistors. The clip indicator may be on because the output is equal to the rail voltage. The amp is probably going into overcurrent protection when the drive circuit engages. The amp will have to be repaired. If I'm not mistaken, this amp uses the dlogixs modules. Since the modules are not readily available, you may have to send it to an authorized service center or back to LA sound.

Protect light is on ,no sound?

Make sure you have a good ground connection. The ground wire should be solidly connected to the vehicle chassis in a paint-free location. If the ground is connected badly, the protect light will come on.

No sound protection light on.

Either blown subs, or bad amp.. Disconnect the subs, and try turning the amp on, if the amp is still in protect then your amp is bad, if the protect light goes off, then your subs are bad, or possibly wired at to low of an impedance, but I don't think that will trigger the protect on an Audiobahn amp.

Amp powered protection on no sound

Disconnect the speaker wires and test again. If the protection light goes out, check your speaker wires at the amp and to the speakers. re-connect speakers one at a time and test until it goes into protection or your problem is solved. If a speaker connection causes the amp to go into protection, test that speaker with a meter or put it on a different channel. may be a blown speaker. If you need more help, post a comment and I can help you troubleshoot more.

LA-1030 Protect Mode

you have an unloaded channel,so the voltage is exceeding what the protect circuit is supposed to have to connect an 8 ohm resistor across the output of the unused channel.
do not drive a signal into it or you will smoke the resistor.
a 10 watt will do ok with zero signal input

Kicker dx 350 amp

Remove amp from vehicle, connect Directly to Battery, then short REM line to Ground, see if amp comes out of "protect" If it does, you have either a short or a bad connection on your power wires between amp and battery, If testing amp directly to battery and it doesnt come out of protect, it meens you fried the amp and likely your problem is wiring between the amp and the speakers, or even the speakers themselves (shorted) .. If you Drive your speakers hard enough they can overheat and short out after a short blast... anywhere from 10seconds to 45 mins.. depends on many variables.

Sony explode amp for my car

Try disconnecting everything but the power connections. If the protection light still comes on, then there's a problem in the amp. If it goes out, then there's a problem elsewhere. In that case, hook up one speaker cable at a time and power on. If the protection light comes on, then either that speaker is bad, or you've got too many speakers connected to that one amp output. Too many speakers connected together can cause an overload and trigger the protection circuitry, or worse, blow out something out.

Hope this helps, and please rate my advice.
Thank you, and good luck!!
