My LG Tritan randomly restarts itself when I am texting or using the browser. It doesn't do this all the time, just randomly. It started after it froze up and I had to take the battery out of the phone for it to unfreeze..... Any help would be much appreciated

did you try to reset the phone

your phone has a virus and needs a hard reset available at the lg store where you bought it or any other store than handles lg.

go into messages then scroll down to delete all messages, or go into messages and click on drafts and then click in the top right hand corner button and select all then delete

If you've tried to do a firmware update and it still would not recognize the chipset, then there is not much else you can do.

Jus twent to us cellular with the same problem. they told me there is a patch and that they are testing it right now. The guy told me to contact them next week to get it fixed. I also hate the battery life on this thing. I was also asked if it takes a long time to charge. I said yes and got a new battery, so lets see what happens. Hope this helped.

I have exactly the same problem! My Viewty just switches itself off whenever I send/receive text/calls. I can't even switch it on anymore without it turning itself off after less than a minute!
I have contacted LG, but they are not responding. Has anyone found a solution to this problem?

I was told by Verizon that this is caused by outdated software. If you have the software upgraded it should fix the problem.
