The problem could be due to the cartridge/s in the carrier or the carrier has stalled. Please follow the steps below to fix the problem:
  1. Open the printer cover and remove the cartridges.
  2. Check the cartridge area for any debris or foreign objects blocking the cartridge carrier. Check the encoder strip (transparent strip behind the carrier) and make sure it has gotten unseated from its position.
  3. If the cartridge is clear and looks normal, close the printer cover.
  4. Unplug and re-plug the printer into the power source to reset it.
  5. When the printer turns on, check for any error. If "alignment" error appears again, please contact Lexmark Technical Support Center for additional assistance. If no error appears, reinsert one cartridge first.
  6. Close the printer cover and check for errors.
  7. If no error appears, reinsert the other cartridge.
  8. Replace whichever cartridge is causing the error to appear. It could be a faulty cartridge. You may also try to insert a different known working cartridge to determine if your other cartridge is faulty.
If problem continues, please contact Lexmark Technical Support Center for additional assistance.

My printer says cartridge error 1203

The 1203 cartridge error indicates either a communication problem between one of your cartridges and the printer or a short in one of the cartridges. Please follow the steps below to fix this problem:

1. Make sure the printer is on.

2. Open the printer cover. The print cartridge carrier moves and stops at the loading position, unless the All-in-One is busy.

3. Remove both cartridges from the carrier.

4. Close the printer cover.

5. Unplug and re-plug the printer into the power source to reset it.

6. When the printer turns on, reinsert one cartridge first.

7. Close the printer cover and check for any errors.

8. If no error appears, reinsert the other cartridge. Close the printer cover.

9. Replace whichever cartridge is causing the error to appear with a new cartridge.

I have a lexmark x2695 and when I turn on the printer appear a flashing error "1 E C"

The EC1 error code indicates that the printhead ID is not valid. Open the printer cover and remove both your cartridges. Close the cover. Unplug and replug your printer into the power source to reset it. When the printer turns on, reinsert one cartridge first and close the cover. Check for any errors. If no error appears, reinsert the other cartridge. Replace whichever cartridge is causing the error to appear. You may also try to insert a different known working cartridge to determine if the other is faulty.

The number indictor is rotating from nunber 1 to E and C and wil not stop.

The EC1 error indicates an incorrect printhead. Your cartridges probably need cleaning or properly seated in the carrier. Try to remove the cartridges from the printer. Close the cover. Wipe the nozzles on the cartridges with a moistened soft cloth. Reset the printer by unplugging and replugging it to the power source. When the printer turns on, reinsert one cartridge first and close the cover. If no error appears, insert the other cartridge. If error appears, try to insert a known working cartridge to determine if the other is faulty. Replace which cartridge is causing the error to appear. Thanks.

3. Press and hold Power ON button

8. When "idle" appear, open the top cover to expose the cartridges.
9. Lift up the cover for cartridge holder and take out both the black and color cartridges
10. Return the cover of cartridge holder and turn off the printer
11. Return the top cover and turn on the printer again

What is solution of error oxd05d010d

Hi

This error means there is an internal error condition. To resolve this error remove the cartridges from your printer. Now wait for message "Insert the cartridges' to appear on the printer, as soon as the message appears disconnect the power cord from back of the printer. (Restart the printer if message doesn't appear) Now wait for a minute and plug back the power cord, if doesn't turns on itself then press the power button.

Insert the cartridges and check whether you are still getting the same error. If you are still getting the same error then try pressing # and 9 key simultaneously to reset the printer, wait for a while to let the printer complete the reset.
