I mistakenly downloaded a new Facebook account with my old username and password, this happened when I downloaded picmix, please help me to get my old account back.

I have tried to re set my password, they e mailed me and told me to click on it and follow the site.It won't let me do this so I tried to copy and paste but I don't know where to find the"browser" Can you please help?

Please choose one of the options below.
1) If you can send and receive emails from your login email address,

  1. If you have forgotten your password, click here to reset it.

  2. If the login email address that you normally use to log in to your Facebook account isstill associated with your account, click here.

  3. If the login email address listed on your Facebook account has been removed by the another person (i.e., someone has replaced your login email address with one that you do not control), click here.
There are two indications that your login email address has been removed by another person:
  1. Your profile is still visible on the site when you search for it and there is a different login email address listed under Contact Info.
  2. You received an error message when logging in with the correct login email reading: "The email entered does not belong to any account." (You will also receive this error message if you have made a spelling error. Please be sure to check the spelling of your login.)
To solve this issue on your own, please look for an email at your login email address with the subject "Facebook Contact Email Change Notification" and follow the instructions to cancel the email change. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Follow the instructions at this link to delete your old Facebppk account. http://www.facebook.com/pages/How-to-Cancel-My-Facebook-Account/120329218013232

Then repaeat the setup for your mail account as you did previously.

You could try this, go to the login page here:,

just under where you input your password you can click on "forgotten password". This takes you to a page where it says "find my account" where you can enter "Email, Phone, Username or Full Name". (Probably not Phone in your case !!) Try entering one of these (My email gave the best result for me) and follow through the instructions to reset your password so that you can access your account.

You could try this to get into an old account. If you go to facebook.com login page and enter your old username, just under where you input your password you can click on "forgotten password". This takes you to a page where it says "find my account" where you can enter "Email, Phone, Username or Full Name". * You are a victim of phishing! Never enter your username & passwords in any duplicate/fake login pages!

* If your facebook account is still not hacked by the phisher, then try these steps :

1. Open your web browser.

2. Goto Tools >> Internet Options.

3. Delete all Cookies, Temporary Files and History.

4. Apply the settings and restart the browser.

5. Try to open the "Facebook Login Page" (http://www.facebook.com/)

6. If you can login successfully, then immediately change your password.

* If your account is already hacked, try to create a new account! :(

* Don't follow any of the above suggestions, because if your account is already hacked, then no software or tool can restore that account! Forget it, and start with a NEW!
