The refrigerator part is not working

The freezer portion the the fridge (model # mtb21566geb) is working fine, but the refrigerator part is not keeping cold

It sounds like the Freezer Fan is waring out. This fan supplies circulation for the freezer as well as the refrigerator. When the motor wears down the rpms are reduced to a point that it will keep the freezer cold but not the refrigerator

Unplug the refrigerator and let the freezer completely thaw. There is ice blocking the passage between the freezer and refrigerator. Once this is melted, plug the refrigerator back in.

Your bulbs may be burnt out. Replace them if necessary.

check for your freezer fan running properly
then check to make sure you have air flow into the freezer this model has a habit of freezing ice in the air channels

All of a sudden stopped getting cold in the fridge portion, freezer is fine


If you completely defrost the freezer and restart the unit and it doesn't get cold in the refrig portion it could be the internal fan that moves cold air from the freezer to the frig area if it does get cold after an hour or so then it is probably the defrost coil needs replacing. I am not familar with your exact model but this senario applies to many different units.
