Question about DVD & Blu-Ray Players
The DVD player is not working on my Go Video DVR4200. When I put a VHS tape in the DVD drawer opens automatically. With the VHS out the DVD drawer does not open with the remote, but it does with the button on the unit. When a DVD is placed in the unit no signal is detected and drawer does not alway respond to the button on the unit. Can you help me fix the problem?

My 1st suggestion is to pull the AC power plug from the wall, wait 5 minutes (have a smoke or a coffee) and plug it back in.
Then retry the functions that are giving you grief.
Report back with the results and we'll go from there.

SOURCE: recording from vhs to dvd
Direct copy VCR to DVD:
- Insert VHS tape you want to copy
- Insert a recordable DVD disc
- Press DVD copy button on front panel or remote control (to DVD).
- To stop recording press the stop button.
IMPORTANT: If attempting to copy copyrighted material the Samsung DVD-VR320 will detect the encoding and will not allow the copy to be made.

I was given one of these the other day. I was told the drawer wouldn't open yet the machine seemed to function fine. I removed the six screws holding the top on the box and then removed the four screws holding the drawer assembly in place. As you lift the drawer assembly out of the box, make sure you release the two pieces of black retaining tape holding the data cable to the box floor. Turn the drawer over and you will see that there is a little sideways bar mounted on the front underside of the drawer assembly. This is sticking. As you press the OPEN button, jiggle this bar and the drawer will open. You may have to manually move the drawer cogwheel a little to help free it up. Hope this helps.
