Question about GE 46GW945 46" Rear Projection Television
The (5A) fuse failed while the set was on. I replaced the fuse and now the convergence is all out of alignment. Menu option to align no longer appears. I tried unplugging for 24 hours - no help. Other posts talk about replacing convergence IC's and/or power supply. Is this a costly repair?? What is involved? Soldering or pop out/in? Shoud I consider setting the TV out with the garbage or salvage it?
If you had a good pic before it went out then keep it but if you did not then toss it yes you have bad stk convergence ics this is not costly if you do the repair your self you might even have bad solder connections just look and see if your connections have small cracks in it then just solder your done good luck
