I have aTechnics sl-bd35, recently replaced the belt drive. I have the speed adjustments set as low as they can go, yet it still seams to play too fast. How can I fix it to play at the normal speed?

Thank you every one for the answers, I managed to fix it by pulling off the bottom and adjusting the pitch screw.

The only thing that I can think of is that you have the belt in the wrong position, or not being in a place it should be.

Hi!
Make shure that is a 50Hz turntable. If you connect a 60 Hz turntable in a 50 Hz system, the result is aprox 28 RPM in the 33 RPM position/

Have a look at the bottom of the turntable. This type of turntable often have speed adjusters. They might be covered by a sticky label or something. If you can't see that go inside by removing the bottom and look inside for them. There should be two, one for each speed.

My turntable won't play at 33rpms. tried the pitch adjustment with no success. my turntable is a Technics model#SL-35

First, I'm not a Technics tech.
* Normally I would suggest to check for warranty, but this unit is outdated.
* Try to contact ; https://www.technics.com/us/support/
*** The following is for information only.***
* The following vid shows the speed switch on the left. If it's not tracking then there may be a problem in the selector switch, sync tracking, or motor drive.
* You may want to check the "window" or sensor of the the speed sync light (the orange light). Wipe down the lamp and the peep hole where the sensor is located (on or near the lamp)
* Wipe down the outer edge of the turn table to clean the metal "dots" or "bars" on the rim. This is what the sensor reads to determine speed.
* Speed controls and direct drive turntable are not customer serviced parts (other than replacement of the component).

Technics 1210 mk2 motor problem

Depends on if it's a belt drive turntable or direct drive.
If a belt one, there will either be a speed adjuster on the top of the motor, or one on a PC Board. And yes apart from setting the speed, it as straightforward as taking the old one out and wiring the new one in.
The direct drive, will also have to be adjusted for speed too.

It plays too fast. I suppose its the belt.

the belt will not adjust the speed unless it is slipping, therefore will slow down not speed up.
there should be a speed playing dial. for lp or 45's.
or have you had it repaired. if someone replaced the pullies on the drive or driven end this could have change the ratio and speed.

My audio-technica PL50 plays 45s at the wrong speed.

believe it or not not it probably doesn`t even play your lp`s at the right speed? Its probably because your drive belt has actually stretched? rubber belts do wear and maybe seek out a replacement drive belt?

try this company?

Drive belt has come off.

Ok.Thats a difficult part to explain on a pick up.So listen up and give attention.Take off the plate of your driver and adjust the belt from the down side of your plate where there is a circle.put it in there and grab the belt to one side and adjust it to the "turner"then put your vinyl and play it.
