Ice maker overfills and leaks into the ice bin.

Does the water valve control how much water goes into the ice maker? would the water valve be the cause of the ice maker overflowing with water making the cubes in the bin freeze together?
I have an amana model scd25tw (bom 1190426w w)
Please advise

I have had a similar problem several times. What I have found is that the ice tray coating has begun to flake off. Then, the ice sticks or partially dumps. Next more ice builds up and when the valve opens the water runs over the partially emptied tray and spills into the bin making "icebergs". The remedy is to replace the tray or if that is not possible, then, the whole icemaker. In fact, I have one down stairs to put in tomorrow. They don't seem to last more than about 4 years or so.

Have replaced the 3part inlet water valve for our fridge freezer. Water is working fine, but still not making ice.

Check the ice bin level arm (also the ice maker on/off switch) is in the down position. It senses when the ice bin is full and turns off the ice maker until some ice in the bin gets used. It can also be lifted into the up position to turn the ice maker off.

My icemaker is overfilling water.

Find the manual for the ice maker - it may be in an envelope on the back of the refrigerator. Inside, there should be instructions for setting the timing for the water fill valve. Your water fill valve is open too long, reduce the open time for the fill valve.

Start by looking for water valve leaking. Turn machine off and if water is entering machine, water valve is not seating. Let me know if you need more than this.

Ice Maker leaks water inside the freezer

I see you said you looked and the water valve is off but the only that I know of this happening is a defective water control valve. Like a dripping faucet that when off slowly drips until the ice forms and then one the ice maker dumps ice and tries to refill the water goes in every direction. Unplug water valve to confirm what I am saying, Tell me if it continues to leak. Sea Breeze

Icemaker drips after refill

Good day,
The ice maker has a switch internal, that turns the water valve in the bottom rear of the machine on for 7 seconds after it harvests a batch.
That valve must close smartly, otherwise it will cause the cavity of the ice maker to overfill, and cause it to overfill.
If it does harvest cubes, then that is your problem. Replace the water valve. It's a very common problem.

The ice cube tray in the automatic ice maker overfills with water. After the ice dumps, the water for the refill overflows the tray and some goes in the dump bin.

Good day,
Sounds like a bad water valve located in the rear bottom of the machine. (not shutting down properly).
Solution is to replace the valve.
In extremely rare cases it can be a faulty ice maker.
The ice maker sends power to the water valve for 7 seconds on each cycle. If the circuit board in the ice maker malfunctions, it could cause this problem.
But again, very rare.

Model KSRS25FGWH01-water is dripping inside the freezer ice bin.

If it overfills and drips, look for an adjustment behind the plastic endcover with a +/- on it. - is less water.

If it continuously drips, replace the water inlet valve on the back where the house water supply comes in.

Whirlpool 4317943 Ice Maker Kit The ice tray overfills with water. Excess water drips into the ice bin & freezes

Probably the dual valve (solenoid) the one that opens when the ice maker calls for water is leaking. It's located in the back of the refrigerator at the bottom behind the cover. To be sure this is the problem turn off the ice maker and after a while if is water the valve is leaking ,if not the problem is with the ice maker.

Ice maker will not despense when full of ice

Hello , that is exactly what is happening this is caused by 1 of 2 things.
1- the module/control on the front of your ice maker is sticking during its cycle and over timing the fill stage.
2-your inlet valve located in lower rear at water line connection is not sealing causing water to seep through line to ice tray and overfill.
Both are common issues and the most cost efficient way to repair this is to order the ice maker kit that contains both the ice maker and the valve so you can guarantee the fix.
You can purchase on line with your model number for around $100 Calling a service company will cost at least $150 changing only one of these parts or about $200+ for both.
If you have any questions please ask and let me know how it goes.
