Question about Garden
My Gilmour 9400 water timer won't turn on. The timer was set (working fine) then I began to notice it was not coming on. I tried turning it on manually (using the display) and it tries to come on but it just makes a clicking noise and won't turn on. Thought it might be a battery problem (although the display was working fine) so I took the timer off changed the batteries tried it off the hose bib (worked fine the valve turned) and before replacing it I turned the valve on the hose manually it worked fine so I replaced it and tried to turn on and still the clicking and would not turn on!!!! This timer is at the most 3 years old
Well, I have the same problem. In fact, I just took mine apart (look for 4 screws on the back gray plastic) and found that the gears are stripped. About 3 of the teeth are broke off. I've been looking for parts on the Internet, but no luck yet. I'm afraid the only solution is to purchase a new timer.

I need the valve part of a Gilmour 9400 timer. It is the black portion that snaps off of the power/timer portion. It has the spigot, water feed, and ball valve. Can this part be purchased? Mine froze and blew out the O-ring and O-ring support. If your timer portion has stripped gears, but your valve is fine, maybe we can work out a swap to fix yours or mine.. Let me know!
