Firstly, make sure the downloaded driver is of the same bit with your installed OS. You maybe having a 32bit OS, but ended up downloading for 64bit. Alternatively, You may have tried to drive the camera with some other drivers which may not really be supported by the hardware. Possiblity is that during your driving trial periods, the driver's channel must been clogged. Fresh intallation OS may likely help you out even with the same downloaded driver. Goodluck.
