Question about Sony Playstation 3 (PS3) Console

1 Answer

I don't have any audio. I tried to play a homemade cd and a message came up. I was in a hurry and didn't read the message and just hit the OK button. I have not been able to hear anything on any cd or movie. The picture comes up but no sound.

IT MIGHT BE BECAUSE OF THE FORMAT. OR THE VIDEO MIGHT HAVE NO AUDIO.

When inserting a c.d it first begin loading disc then it reads no playable files on disc next it ejects and reads remove disc....no music played at all..... What could be an intelligent soultion to solve...

If it's a homemade CD, it could be the disc is not finalized. Also some CD players don't like homemade discs especially ones made on a computer.

Sony cmt-bx5bt it wont play any cd's, not store bought not homemade. it just clicks twice and says no disc.

The clicking you are hearing is the optics attempting to focus and read the disc. If you can gain access to the optics assembly, try cleaning the lens using a cotton swab and alcohol. Thaqt may resolve the problem. If not, then the optics need to be replaced.

Please keep us informed on the results.

The cd's I burn on my e-machine won't play in the cd player or the car.

One thing could be your not burning them in AUDIO Format.

Second is your car stereo may not be able to read that type of disc.....some cd players especially older ones will not read homemade or burnt discs

CD changer will not play reads "player error" .

Most new car-stereo's don't have an "oldschool" CD-drive, but really a CD-ROM drive; meaning that they won't (properly) read and/or play copy-protected CDs.

Most CD protections are specially designed not to work in CD-ROM drives to prevent copying. As a side-effect most of those protected CDs won't work in car-stereo's.

Try a CD without copy-protection (like an homemade audio CD using burning software on your computer) and see it that works ?

In case that doesn't work either, your car's CD-drive is probably broken ...

Lausanne cd31 error rejects cd

Hi, I'm having the same problem ... when I try to insert a homemade cd it tries to read the cd but gives an error. Now I wondered, forella, did you try a factory cd? By that I mean a bought cd. Those work very well with my lausanne CD31, the only problem seems to be home made cd's. If anyone knows the solution to this problem, caugh it up :) Greets, and be sure to try those bought cd's forella.

CD's won't play

I know that Panasonic provides chips, optics (laser),etc. to Emerson. I am familiar with the problem you've experienced because I've had a Panasonic CD Player. If the disc doesn't spin (as you said), the problem must be that your shelf system probably has an optical problem (laser problem/pickup problem) and will need to be serviced.
