Short in the low voltage wiring. look for bare wires, metal on the board. something touching where its not sposed to be. if its a split system check to see if the small set of wires going to the out door unit is not bared. weed wackers and the sun do a number on these. rain or water makes a connection and shorts it out.

Wy fuse keeps blowing

Fuses blown when an overload occurs. More often than not caused by a short circuited transistor in the main amp section. Possibly also on the power supply too.

I have a Carrier Heat Pump model FK4CNF003. I noted that the thermostat wasn't working (no power) so I checked the usual suspects...in bound power etc. before I pulled the top housing off the interior...

The source may be the circuit board itself, since the fuse is only 5 amps I would strongly suspect this part, look for any heat damaged area, this is the usual suspect.

Have a hartke lh1000 head . played about 5 total hours then blew the fuse. is this something i shoud be worried about?

If the fuse is correct ( check manual) it shouldn't blow under normal operation. Once in while a fuse will break internally and thus blow the fuse. look close at the blown fuse If it is a "violent" blow (totally black inside) then you have an overload condition. I would use an ohm meter to check the connection to the speakers. Usually it should be between 8 ohms and 4 ohms if the number is lower than 4 ohms your speakers or wiring are putting to much of a load on the amp. If the fuse was not a "violent" blown fuse then replace with a new fuse of the exact proper value. many amps use an MDL fuse that is a slow blow fuse and has much different in circuit function than a ACG fuse so use only the exact proper furse that the manufacture recomends. If the load (speaker and wiring) is correct and the fuse is correct and still blows then you have a component problem and the amp will need repair

The circuit board has a 25 Amp slow blow fuse is blown

if your circuit board has a 25 amp fuse that a lot of power, like running the compressor.. you need to have a model and serial number for the unit , there is no generic control board , each manufacture has it's own design

9 amps is approx. correct. Does magnatron make an odd sound when running? If not, you will need to discharge cap then clean terminals with alcahol. Replace diode as well. Should run correctly. If blows again, replace magnatron. Suggest you put a 12 amp fast blow fuse in circuit and nor a 20 fuse.If you dont have a grill or an oven, use a 10 amp fuse.

Interior light fuse blows repeatedly

Pick up an automatic circuit breaker at a parts store making sue it is the same ampereage. Put it in place of the blown fuse and give it a few seconds. It will trip and reset itself, giving you an opportunity to check which light is shorting out. Try a fuse 5 amps higher and see if it blows. If not, it just might be a load issue and not necessarily a shorted circuit. Perhaps the fuse was replaced before with one underrated. Do not exceed 5 amps over what you pull out. Good luck and keep a n eye on everything until the breaker breaks the first time.
