Sounds like Microsofts nuts user file access system. Try connecting to a non-windows machine i.e Linux - if you see the files, that's your problem.

Import pictures Nikon D3100 get access denied

Try NOT connecting your camera to your computer.

The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.

Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use any photo cataloging program such as Nikon Transfer or Picasa.

How connect ext mass storage Seagate FreeAgent GoFlex Net to LAN through router by TCP/IP

Here is the link to the pdf for your Go flex.
http://www.seagate.com/files/staticfiles/support/docs/goflex/goflex-net-user-guide-en-us.pdf

This is an excerpt from the file concerning NOT using the pogoplug...

Accessing GoFlex Net Without Using the Pogoplug Service (Windows)
You can access the drives connected to GoFlex Net without using the Pogoplug Web
interface. Follow these steps to set up local network access.
1. On the Windows taskbar, click Start > Network or right-click My Network Places >
Explore.
An Explorer window opens showing all computers on your network.
2. Locate and then double-click the computer name associated with GoFlex Net.
NOTE: Your GoFlex Net name starts with the letters "FADS" followed by the last six
alphanumeric characters of its MAC address. This 12 digit address, preceded by "MAC:",
is printed on the label on the bottom of GoFlex Net.
You can now access each drive connected to GoFlex Net. Access is regulated by the file
sharing permissions you set using the Pogoplug service.

Hope this helps...

I accessed my Freeagent goflex 1tb on my laptop the first time. but when i tried to use it again, a display shows that the drive is not accessible. access is denied. what can i do? i'm using windows 7...

Switch off and on your Freeagent, that should cause a driver to be loaded. If no change reset your Laptop. You should also upgrade to Windows 10, since WINDOWS 7 IS NO LONGER SUPPORTED.

Can you use a Seagate 500GB FreeAgent GoFlex external Hard Drive with ready boost in windows 7?

Yes, but because it's a hard disk and has low transfer speeds it will actually slow down the pc instead of making it work faster. Ready boost is designed to be used only with memory sticks of the latest generation.

My computer can't access the pictures on my Panasonic Lumix DMC LZ3 anymore. It begins to download the pictures and then a message saying access denied comes up and the download is halted. I have tried...

Easiest answer is to take the memory card out of the camera and insert it into a card reader on the computer. This will bypass any problem caused by the camera settings.

Possible reason for "access denied"- you may have protected the pictures in the camera to prevent accidental deletion. This would give "access denied" if you were moving the pictures to the computer rather than copying them, because the move function deletes the originals on the camera after making a copy on the computer. Use the right mouse button to drag the pictures and you will get a dialog allowing you to choose "move" or "copy". I similar problem can happen if the memory card has its write protect switch on.

How do i retriev my stuff of it to put on computer?

Assuming the harddrive is working, plug it in and click start and my computer( or computer if you are running vista or 7) and then in this window click the name of the harddrive. Then drag and drop?

If you used 3rd party software to back up your data you will need to install that first and run the recovery option
