The way i delete my pictures off the ipod is i plug it in and go to tools then click folder options and then i select show hidden folders. and then click on ipod control, and then it will have all the pictures on there along with your music

Have you reset your ipod. If not hold down your play/pause and menu button at the same time.
Ive done this on my ipod when it fezzes and it always works and i never lost data.

To remove pictures from your ipod directly
  1. Navigate to the main Menu.
  2. Select Extras, then Photo Import.
  3. Select the roll name, then Delete Roll, and then Delete.


In iTunes
Imported photos can also be deleted from the iPod disk while it is attached to a computer.
  1. Connect your iPod to your computer.
  2. When the iPod icon appears in the iTunes Source list (below Devices), select it.
  3. If the Summary pane isn't showing, click the Summary tab.
  4. Click "Enable disk use".
  5. All imported photos are located in the "DCIM" folder on the iPod disk.

DESCRIBE HOW TO DELETE SEVERAL PICS FROM TOUCH IPOD


there is two way one is from the photo option of your ipod. when you view any photo on your itouch then if give a single tap you will see a small bin icon tap on it and it will delete the folloking photo.
or go to itunes>>ipod>>summary>>photos and from there you can delete those photos

Here are my directions: (I have the latest iTunes update)
1. Connect iPod to PC
2. Open iTunes
3. Click on icon of Nano
4. Click on Photos Tab
5. Deselect the box that says "Sync Photos from"
6. iTunes will then ask you if you no longer want to sync - tell it yes
7. iTunes will then ask you if you want to delete existing photos from your iPod - click on the box to delete all photos

1 Open iTunes, select iPod nano in the Source pane, and then click the Photos tab.
2 Select “Sync photos from:”
A On a Mac, choose iPhoto from the pop-up menu.
A On a Windows PC, choose Photoshop Album or Photoshop Elements from the
pop-up menu.
3 Choose “Selected albums” and deselect the albums or collections you no longer want
on iPod nano.
4 Click Apply.
