Question about Sceptre x22wg Gamer Monitor

1 Answer

Moniter is not powering up.

When I hit the power button, there is about half a second of blue light as it powers up, and then it dies. half a second later, it tries again...and dies. This has been going on for a few hours now.

Unfortunately. This is a classic symptom of a faulty inverter board. I would suggest looking on ebay to see is there is a cheap replacement. Purchasing a new one is usually not economical these days.

RCA DLP Model # M50WH74S Problem: Replaced blown lamp, when plugging it into AC, blue LED lights up right away for 2 or 3 seconds, then shuts off. Waited for a few seconds, and relay will click on and...

The blue led dies because the power source dies: it detects a big short on one of its outputs and shuts down to protect itself automatically. Since apparently it's a very big short and you just had to replace the bulb then the faulty part is the ballast board (the one that powers the bulb): when the bulb failed it has generated a power surge that fried it.
Replace the ballast and verify the power source board: if you're really unlucky when the ballast got fried it has in turn damaged the power board.

The moniter blacked out, blue light is saying the moniter is still on, but screen looks like there is no power. When you turn on the moniter, the screen shows up for a few seconds, then blacks out again!...

Unplug power. Unplug VGA cable. Remove back of monitor. (four small Philips headed screws along the bottom rear. Remove screws attaching Monitor to it's base. Carefully, lean the screen away from back of case. Gently unplug 25 pin cable from the screen.
Connect AC power.
Screen should power on Gray to White. Ble light comes on Blue.Flickers then changes to Amber.
Reconnect VGA cable. Monitor should work.
Close up the monitor in reverse order to opening it.
If these steps don't solve your monitor, consider replacing as cost of repairs may shock you.
