My first guess would be the capasitor too..

If you have a tester - see if there is power getting to the fan motor..

If its getting power - it should be a faulty fan motor..

Hope this helps !!

How do I reset the control panel? Other ideas?

Hello. If your unit is running continuously, the timer/control board is defective and needs to be replaced. I need the make/model number to help you accurately. If you have the mechanical timer(round knob that turns), it's not advancing(no repair possible). If the unit has an electronic control, the program quite possibly is corrupted--or a relay is stuck causing the problem. Have you had a power outage recently--3-4 weeks ago? These are notorious for damaging the control boards from the current surge when power is restored. I hope I helped you--definitely give me the model number, thanks!

Cooling fans atay on always

pull the connection of the fan switch sender unit in the head (2 wires in a square looking plug) probably next to the temperature gauge sender unit. If pulling the plug stops the fan then the problem will most likely be in that switch keeping the ECM thinking that the engine is running hot.

My ceiling fan fmy143 cannot do a speed from 2 to 3, it still run very slow

Check your capisator. That's the little black box with wires going to the pull chain switch. If it looks like it's expanding or smells like it's burnibg then it needs to be replaced.

My fan is running slower than before.

You probably have a bad capisator. That's a black box with wires going to the pull chain switch.

The HVAC blower fan on my 2001 Pontiac Aztec stopped working on settings 1-3 several weeks ago. Last week it stopped working at setting 4 and today it stopped working all together. What is the most likely...

the blower not working on settings 1-3 is the blower motor resistor. this limits the power provided to the blower motor itself to change the speed. at setting 4 it is getting full power. since it quit on 4 also, i would still say the resistor needs to be replaced first, then see if the blower comes back. you may also need a blower motor. if you have a voltmeter you can just turn the switch to 4 and see if the motor is still getting 12 volts. if it is and doesn't run, it needs a blower motor too. if it's not, then its just the resistor
