Question about Akai LCT3201TD 32 in. LCD Television

2 Answers

My LCT3201AD is plugged in and the standby light under the screen is on (red LED). Repeated attempts using both remote and side Standby/Power switch result in the LED turning green for only a few seconds then going back to red, and the TV does not fire up. This problem was intermittent at first, a few months ago, but now permanent. Any guidance appreciated.

Remove the power supply and replace the three (3) capacitors soldered to it. They will be rated at something in the neighbrohood of 16v. Replace them with larger capacitors, something in the neighborhood of 35v.

These blinks [flashes] are fault indication (Error Codes). From the number of blinks occur at one time switch ON, you can get an idea about the faulty circuit section inside it.This will make repair easy. These are called blinking codes. Motherboard red light stay on and computer won't turn on. Any ideas on what the promblem might be?

First try shutting down you're system. Than turn the PS off at the rocker switch (Back of PS). Ground you're self by touching the the PS. Remove you're memory and re-seat it. Than boot the system.
Check the standby LED. See if it lights green.
Pull the cmos battery and check its voltage. Anything under 2.4 volts replace the battery. Normally the MB LED displays green. (Standby power).
This means the MB is maintaining / charging the cmos battery. If the battery can no longer maintain charge this will cause the MB LED to turn Red. Built into the mother board is a small switch. When the system is shut down the MB maintains power to the cmos. If the standby switch fails to function correctly the LED will turn Red. Lets hope the problem is the cmos battery. The internal switch can not be repaired.

Cheers'

I bought my son a 19" philips tv model # 19pfl340d/27.in order to turn tv on it must be unplugged for 10-15 minutes. The first one I bought did the same thing and I returned it.this one is exactly the...

The remote control will not operate the TV when the TV is in the OFF mode (No LED lit on front bezel). To change the mode from OFF to STANDBY or ON, press the POWER button on the side of the TV. Once the POWER button is pressed, the LED will change to either red to indicate STANDBY or green to indicate ON, whichever mode the TV was in prior to being turned off with the TV POWER button.

By pressing the POWER button on the side of the TV, the mode will toggle from OFF to either STANDBY or ON. If the POWER button is pressed and then the LED on the bezel is red, the TV is in STANDBY mode and will need to be turned on using the remote control. If the POWER button is pressed and then the LED on the bezel is green, the TV is ON.

Start button not working standby light staying

The switch is for 'REC' 'Standby' and "PLAY".
If you leave it switched to "Play" and pull the plug and push it in to the wall receptacle (mains) it should start playing after a few seconds delay. The same for "REC". You use a timer unit on the power cord for those.
If you have the switch in the middle position and plugged-in, you should have a tiny Red LED illuminated. Push "Power" and it should start-up and be ready to use in a matter of a few seconds.

Cannot Turn on Monitor and Standby Red light is gone

If the power cable and power outlets are working and the TV still won't power up, then there's nothing much you can do. The power supply unit in your TV is blown. You'll have to get it replaced.
