I have a Linksys wireless router on my desktop computer and have another computer with an adapter. However, I get a reading that ''cannot find server''. I also have a laptop that operates with a ''Belkin'' adapter. Why can't I get the other computer to operate with the Linksys adapter?
Statically assign the DNS servers in the adapters IPv4 properites. The adapter uses the router's gateway IP for its DNS server by default.
You may also want to statically assign the DNS servers in the router as well.
If you to to the command prompt on a computer that is able to browse and type the command "ipconfig /all" without the quotes, check for the DNS servers listed.
Youu can also find a list of public DNS servers here: http://theos.in/windows-xp/free-fast-public-dns-server-list/
