It will charge but after i take it off it wont turn on at all

That means the battery of your camera can't hold a charge. The light on your camera or battery indicating that it's charging flashes whenever it detects any power being wired into the device, not necessarily that the battery is holding power. Depending on what camera model and brand you have, you should contact their customer support for a new battery.
Cheers.

My Kodak will not turn on...it's been charging for a while now and when i turn it on all it does is turn on for about a second and then turn off..what could i do to fix it?

1/ Make sure your battery is still good (holds charge). If it does hold charge, 2/ then turn the camera on by pressing the play button. If it turns on, your camera's lens is faulty

Got wet; dried. ot new battery but still does not hold charge.

Best bet here, take it to a camera shop, if it got wet you have water damage, with that said would be the reason why it doest ot hold charge. The cause is the unit is not charging the battery or has shorted out inside so it does not hold charge.

point in case here there is nothing a email expert can do but suggest what you to do next going forward.

thanks and please do click the accept button for my efforts.

My camera will not hold a battery chard, it last

How old is your camera already? Electronic gadgets powered by lithium ion batteries dies over time. if you had your camera and battery for over quite some time now say like a year or so, maybe the cells were drained dead and uncapable of holding electrical charge anymore. If that is the case you might consider replacing your camera battery with a fresh one.

Like wen i charge it it doesnt even charge, the light on the cord to charge it goes red, then green, then yellow then offf. whut should i do to it cus its not charging my camera? is it my camera thats...

There could be two possible reasons. One it could be you the battery of your camera that holds the charge or it could be the power adapter.

To isolate the problem, try using another power adapter (charger) that has the same power voltage. If problem still exist, then the battery is no longer holding the charge and that should be replaced.

The main batter will not hold its charge when left in the camera.

After 12 months use camera batteries will not hold a true charge, but they can still be used for clocks, or remotes. Buy new ones. We all have the same problem.

Batter won't hold it's charge if left in the camera overnight

Apparently you shouldn't leave the battery in the camera when you're not using it - the on/off switch doesn't turn the thing off completely. Weird!

Are you sure that the battery is holding a charge? If it is holding a charge check the contacts on the battery and inside the camera. you can clean both of them with a pencil eraser gently rub the eraser on the contacts and this will clean them. I hope this helps you out and fixes your problem.
