If your power outage wad caused by a surge your tv may have died. Check fusebox for tripped circuit breaker also check tv wall plug fuse in case that has blown. It might be that the tv internal fuse has blown, you should disconnect the tvv from the electricity supply if you intend opening the rear of the set to check this.
If they are all okay the set probably needs the services of a trained technician

Good Luck

SOURCE: my tv wont turn on

Look for power outlet and ensure there is power. Check TV on other power outlets. Ensure required voltage is there on the power outlet. Even then, if you notice that the TV does not work, it might be attended to by a skilled and qualifies service technician.

Lights went off now tv wont come back on

We recommend you remove all HDMI cables from the TV then unplug the unit's power cord for 30 seconds. Then plug the power cord directly into the wall. If the problem persists we recommend you have the TV evaluated by an authorized service center.

My toshiba laptop l10 281 has stopped working it was working perfectly and was shut down properly wen i went to turn it on again today it wont go it wont even light up please help!! thanks in advance john

If nothing at all works then perhaps you have no power to the system.

Check that the powerpack is getting power (does it hum or get warm when plugged into the mains socket?) Check all connections to the power pack and back of laptop.

Try taking the battery out and powering up on only the power pack

Do you know anyone with a similar laptop that you could swap power pack with?
