When you first took the phone out of the box, what did you do? Did you plug it in and charge it or did you use it? Some batteries require that you charge it before you use it so that when the system goes to charge a second time, it will do a full charge. if you use it straight out of the box, the battery will read that where it was when the factory shipped the product to you is full charge.

Just purchased pixi unite 2 days ago, and it only holds a charge for less than 5 hours! Am I doing something wrong?

Did you leave it on charge for the first time for at least 7-9 hours? If not do that and see what happens.

I don't think you did anything wrong. I think your battery is tired and can't take a charge deep enough as it used to. As batteries get older and after repeated discharge and recharge during normal operation, they start losing their ability to hold charge as deep as when new. This is gradual and after a couple of years they drop to 50% and less. I think your attempt was "gallant" and you did everything correct, but it sounds that battery has flatlined on you and "Doc, the patient is gone"

I have a new Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 (only about a week old) and I've been charging the battery as suggested (both with the wall charger and via usb to the computer) and it's just not showing that it's...

You probably have multiple apps running and don't know it!!!!! My friend suggested this to me and so far it has helped.... I downloaded Advanced Task Killer and I "kill" everything that I'm not using. The only thing that bothers me and I wish I could figure it out..... if I check this task killer once per hour, there are so many apps that are open that I didn't even use. I'm not sure why this is happening and havent had a chance to figure it out. But I hope this helps, I can be long winded for nothing so.....there's my two cents, hope it works out for you =)

Sony Ericsson K770i does not hold charge :(

Replace the battery, but I am assuming you mean 10% per hour with normal use. If you are on the 3G, playing music, making calls, thats all you're probably going to get. Thats 10 hours, if you use it often I wouldn't expect any more. I charge my new Blackberry every night, and I have to.

If not, then definitely a new battery, because 10% per hour without data or music and usage, it must be the battery, probably replace the charger too if you want to be really really certain.

Battery life

It must be battery's defect that prevented it from retaining the charge. You may want to replace the battery. I just got one from www.wirelessunlimitedonline.com for $6.95 w/ free shipping.

Charged cell phone

do not charge your mobile battery each night for best battery use, you need to charge the phone only when the battery is completely dead.

You should take the phone and have it fully check and service

Base phone handset #1 holding charge

The base unit should not need a charge. It should be powered by the plug in adapter. It may have a battery to keep operation for a short time in a power outage. The adapter may be loose, the adapter could be broken or the plug in the phone may be broken.
