TV Doesn't stay on...

I see this quite a bit in this forum. I have the same problem with my Mitsubishi projection TV.
I press the power button and the power light comes on for about 3 seconds without sound or picture, then shuts itself off. I tried pressing the menu and input buttons simultaneously but to no avail. Please advise...

My Mitsubishi Medallion tv stays on for about 10 minutes and then shuts down and won't turn back on until a period of time has passed. It is a rear projection tv about 9 years old. Can anyone help ex

When it shuts off and the green power light goes off, press both the menu and input buttons on the front of the set (not the remote) and hold both for about five seconds and release.

Power light will blink a two digit error code like 2 blinks and then 3 blinks and repeat it several times.

What is the error code?

Where do i find the code to program a remote for my tv?

Four digit codes for Mitsubishi are
0005 0151 0051 0004 0009 0254 0022 0141 0180
Three digit codes for Mitsubishi are
002 102 206 502 510 619 709 803 814 914
004/ 005/ 009/ 022/ 046/ 081/ 089/ 132/ 133/ 180

Direct Code Entry
  1. Press and hold the SETUP button until the red indicator stays on, then release the SETUP button.
  2. Press and release the desired Mode button (TV, VCR, etc.). The red indicator blinks, then stays lit.
  3. Enter the 4 digit code from the code tables. Note: after a valid code entry, the red indicator turns off. For an invalid code, the red indicator flashes.
  4. With your device on, press CHANNEL UP. If the device responds, no further programming is required. Note: If some buttons do not operate your device, try one of the other codes for your brand.
NB: Switch OFF and switch ON your TV, with its front panel power control main switch each time before trying an other code. OK.

Remote won't turn tv on. Powers on at tv but won't let me pull up menu. Volume stays the same level. Pressing buttons only makes it blacks out 1 sec. and returns to same picture and volume. New...

Looks like the core of the problem is this:

microswitches on the frontcontrol board leaking.replace it. What worked for me was this: Supposedly, the front panel is known to have leaky switches. power,volume,menu,etc.. They asked me to take my finger and rub left to right back and forth hitting all the buttons, do this about 20 times.. then poke the reset button in and out a few times.. Wait about 60 to 90 seconds and see if your green light quits flashing.. If so, try powering on with your remote.

Mitsubishi TS-50611 projection tv has no video

You can do quite a bit to narrow things down....

First thing, unplug the set and wait 10 minutes. Then plug it in and watch the green power LED. If it does nothing push the power button and watch the power LED. If the set doesn't respond hold down the MENU and INPUT buttons on the front of the set until the LED starts blinking. If it blinks at this time count the blinks and then repost.

Mitsubishi VS-6041 60 in. doesn't power up

Hello Tremulant

This denotes a possible problem with the Low or high voltage power supplies. The clicking you here might be the shutdown circuit acting because of excessive draw of current. The problem will most likely be associated with the HV power supply, but you will have to have a qualified TV technician check your TV to make sure.

I hope this helps,

Thank you,
