Belive it or not if you delime the machine it will clean the whole system.Goto a supermarket, kmart, walmart and find clr (calcium lime rust) remover.Pour 2 cups into the dishwasher and start a cycle.Do this 1 time a month. It will keep everthing clean (hoses, probes, floats, screens). It comes in a grey bottle and costs about 8-10 bucks.

Lg dishwasher won't drain

The check valve prevents water from returning to the dishwasher after it has drained. If the valve gets stuck closed, it will prevent the water from draining. If the check valve is stuck closed, try cleaning it out and then replace it if necessary.

Oe code. Will not drain. Steps to fix?

Hi

OE in your dishwasher is a drain error and dishwasher not draining issue usually occurs due to kinked drain pipe, clogged drain filter or drain pump. First make sure that the drain is not clogged and remove clogs if present. If no visible lint is present then remove the lower front access panel to check the drain filter and drain pump for any clogs, you'll need to clean the drain filter and drain pump completely. Also, check for any food pieces stuck near the pump impeller & clean the chopper assembly. If the issue returns after cleaning then the drain pump assembly should be replaced. Hope this helps...please post back for further assistance.

Piece of glass dropped through the filter housing when cleaning. Now there is a sound like the motor is jammed.

Hi ghedinger,

Seems something is stuck on your drain motor, now to thoroughly clean the unit and part, do the following:

- Remove as much residual water as possible from the sump and drain hose.
- Open the door.
- Remove the bottom basket.
- Remove the bottom spray arm.
- Unscrew the bottom spray arm flange.
- Remove the filter combination.
- Lay the dishwasher on its back.

Now you will see the Drain pump, like so:

jedemeyer1_10.jpg
Now you need to remove the drain pump from the housing to clean it thoroughly:

- Disconnect the pump plug connections.
- Open the safety retainer clip with a screwdriver
- Turn the pump clockwise and pull it from its holder

Now clean the impeller area, and then re-fit everything (Remember: When refitting, apply a little water or soap solution to the pump seal as a slip lubricant.) Then Test

Hope this helps :-)

Hello, my dishwasher doesn't drain

hi,
check for a stuck float inside corner, there may be a cover over newer models, its a round white thing in the front corner, it should move up and down and click once you get the cover off. if thats not it next to the sink is the aerator, pull the chrome cover straight up and off and unscrew the inner white part and look down in there. if that still doesent do it, have to go under the sink and undo the black or clear drain hose coming from the dishwasher into a bucket and study where its clogged under the sink. if its not that then it may be inside the trap inside the drain in the dishwasher, take the bottom rack out, undo the wash arm, unscrew the drain cover, undo the next drain cover, (theres usually 2) and then down in there may be the obstruction. shut the power off if you go digging into the pump of the dishwasher.
good luck

Dishwasher does not drain, instead drains through overflow valve in sink. No apparent clog seen.

Usually the sink connection is not an overflow, it is the main drain from the dishwasher. It is more likely your s-bend is blocked under the sink- try putting a bucket under it and unscrewing the u-shaped piece and cleaning out (remember don't wash it in that sink while the pipe is off)

Intake drain light flashing

1. Unscrew air gap which is on the counter-top next to sink.
2. Unscrew drain clamp under the sink which s connected to the air gap.
3. Use a wire hanger to push down debris clogging the drain.
4. Screw clamp and air gap back in place.
5. The dishwasher should work. Routinely clean out air gap every half year.

Lg - LDS5811ST Dishwasher OE Error Code

hi
The most common cause of an OE error code on a modern LG dishwasher is:
1. Blocked drain hose
2. Obstruction in the sump area (beneath the filter, which needs to be removed to check for onstruction)
3. Failing drain motor.
else you need to REPLACE THE PCB POWER CONTROL BOARD
