You Schwinn requires a special tool to remove the kickstand. You will have to go to a very old bike shop because most modern bike shops will not have the tool needed as it is no longer needed for bikes today.

Hope this helps!

Hi there,
Save hours of searching online or wasting money on unnecessary repairs by talking to a 6YA Expert who can help you resolve this issue over the phone in a minute or two.

Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.

Why is my serial# on right side tail, and all the rest on left.definate schwinn . Can't find zilch . no serial # history so far. Y6602999

...and you won't find any information based off of the serial number. Bicycle parts are very generic and are shared by all bike brands. If you need a replacement part there is a myriad of replacement parts that will work with your bike and your local bike shop can help you find parts that will fit properly and probably be better quality than the original equipment.

Where can I find an owner's manaul and parts list for a 1973 schwinn suburban

The moving parts on that vintage Schwinn are essentially the same for all of the listed bikes. I expect just about all are currently replaceable with new parts on an item by item basis if that is your need.

1972 schwinn breeze 3 speed......was working well. Now first gear slips while I'm riding. Once in a while second slips.

re-grease everything, clean it all up, check all your cables and shifting mechanisms, see if that helps

How do I remove the kick stand from the frame of an old schwinn beach cruiser? The kick stand mount is welded to the frame and the mount has a pin sticking out of the bottom of it.

There is a special tool to remove it, but more than likely you have to find a dealer who has been in business for more than 20 years to have that tool. I would call the bike shops in the area to see if they have it.

I'm looking for a 3 speed trigger shifter for a 1984 Schwinn Collegiate bike any suggestions ?

Look at your 3 speed mechanism , see if it Sturmy archer or Shimano. You should then be able to go into any bike shop who has been in business for more that 10 years, they will have it or will order it. Also, you can always find an old 3 speed and take the shifter off of it.
