I dont know if this is a network specific thing, but i have a htc tytn II which runs very similar, got to programs, then acessories, and select internet sharing whilst you have the pc connected either by bluetooth or usb, this will disconnect from active sync and become a usb network device thing. i do this lots to i know it works.

To get Internet settings SMS "INTERNET" to 52270 (toll free on TATA DOCOMO HOME & CHARGED Rs.3 at non DOCOMO Network) and save them as default settings.

Connection Name : Tata Docomo internet [any name]
Data Bearer : GPRS
Access Point Name : TATA.DOCOMO.INTERNET

Take TATA DOCOMO INTERNET' WAP profile in Settings:

In wap 2.0 phones[Nokia,Sony Ericson, samsung,L.g, Motorola etc] enter these additional gprs settings.

If you do not have a Nokia and Sony Ericsson phone, you'll need to set your phone manually with these details.

Browsing the Internet

TATA DOCOMO INTERNET works with any PC or Laptop that has Bluetooth or USB port for the cable. So after getting the settings save them and start browsing on your phone for free. But if you want to connect your computer to tata docomo internet gprs, you willl have to follow the given procedures.

Connect your phone to computer either via Bluetooth or data cable

Bluetooth

  • Install the PC suite software.
  • Pair mobile handset with your PC or Laptop via the Bluetooth program
  • Click on "Connect to the Internet" icon from the PC Suite programs.

Cable:

or for manual PC configuration, create a new connection using the "Make a new connection" wizard on your PC / laptop.Once a dialer is configured, leave the username and password blank. Enter the access number *99# .You are now ready to start browsing using the tata docomo free unlimited gprs plan.

Connection/Download Speed of Tata Docomo GPRS

I've heard both positive and negative remarks about the download speed of tata docomo internet connection.According to some tests given on their twitter profile,it's said that an user gets a speed of 76kbit/sec.Anyways,lets check for more user reviews from other states as well.

UPDATE: Tatadocomo have changed the unlimited scheme a week after introducing this offer. They now don't have any unlimited internet browsing. New GPRS plans are shown below.

But if you have activated buddynet [charge Rs.7 per week], you could browse social networking sites like Orkut, facebook, twitter, likendin and nimbuzz chat for free.

How Can i connect my nokia 6030 To my personal computer. by using data cable. I am able to browser my phone gallery only But not able to connect internet . I Also use PC- Suit software for connect. But not...

RK, If you are using Nokia PC Suite on your PC then just connect the phone through the USB cable to the PC. It will be detected immediately and then you can do whatever you want. Run PC Suite and connect to the net if you have GPRS activated on your mobile number. For this contact the helpline of your service provider who will activate the GPRS and send you the settings for it as the settings are service provider specific. Only they can give to you. With the GPRS activated and settings saved, you would be able to connect your phone browser to the internet and also connect your PC to the internet through the phone via PC Suite.

I have a t-mobile sim card, but my phone is htc touch pro. The phone works fine, the only problem is I can not send or recieve text messages. My question is does anyone have the MMS settings for the Unicel...

You need the T-Mobile settings if you are using a T-Mobile SIM. assuming you are in US as Unicel not over her in UK so the settings are:

T-Mobile GPRS settings (T-Mobile EDGE settings) T-Mobile GPRS/EDGE settings for terminals (e.g., phone handsets). Some items are possibly Nokia-specific. I have found the authentication type can be either Secure or Normal. These settings should be useful for T-MobileWeb users.
APN: wap.voicestream.com IP address: 216.155.165.050 Data bearer: GPRS Username: [none] Password: [none] Authentication type: Secure Connection security: Off
APN is the GPRS Access Point Name.
T-Mobile GPRS/EDGE modem settings T-Mobile GPRS/EDGE network settings when using a device as a GPRS "modem", that is, when "tethered" to another device. Examples include connection via Dial Up Networking (DUN) Bluetooth profile, or via Universal Serial Bus (USB). These settings should be useful for T-Mobile Internet users.
APN: internet2.voicestream.com Username: voicestream Password: [none] SMTP server: myemail.t-mobile.com
APN is the GPRS Access Point Name.

To activate gprs in htc p3350

Hi,

Thank you for choosing Fixya.com

Please follow the instruction below very carefully and make sure that you have load of your sim enjoy.

For Globe Subscribers:

For a complete listing of compatible MMS & GPRS phone handsets — send NOKIA, ERICSSON or SAMSUNG (your handset model) to 2365.
To get your phone’s settings, text GO (handset model) to 2951. Example, GO N3650. (For a list of compatible handsets, refer to #1)

Note: For Nokia 6220, 6600, and 6820, text GO < handset model >,1234 and send to 2951. Make sure to type in the two commas before the 1234 PIN. Regular text messaging charges will apply.
Enter 1234 when asked for PIN to save settings.
Send an MMS message for only Php 5.00 to activate the service.

Note: For prepaid subscribers, please make sure you have credits first before trying to access GPRS/MMS. You won’t be able to use the service if you have zero balance.

For Smart Subscribers:

OTA (over-the air) configuration

a) To activate GPRS *and* MMS
- SET MMS send to 211
- wait for the configuration to be downloaded to your phone (up to 24 hours)
- once downloaded, you will have SmartMMS data account, and SmartMMS WAP profile, and your MMS is configured already to use SmartMMS WAP profile
- you will also receive a confirmation message that your GPRS and MMS have been activated

- SET WAP T68 send to 211
- wait for the configuration to be download to your phone, in minutes

I suggest you clear all your existing data accounts and wap profile beforeyou do this. If you follow the instructions in this order, SmartPC will have a CID=2. Your dial-up number willbe *99***2#
