Where is the physical location of the fuse for cigarette lighter/power socket located as shown in the 04Jun15 posted diagram? Is it under the hood or elsewhere?

Check the "Power Point" fuse;
upper most right most corner of fuse box (in most cases).

The Cigarette lighter in the console is fused by the
"Power Point" fuse.

the fuse for the cigarette lighter is located in the fuse box under the hood. It is a 20 Amp (yellow fuse) in position #32. You can check the lid of the fuse box under the hood for a diagram to show the positions.

This one's the fusebox in the interior of the car; usually below the steering wheel in a panel with a thumbscrew that you just give a quarter-turn, then catch it as it opens; inside are some fuses, which tend to be obvious when they are blown. There's a little legend that tends to be well-lit too, indicating which fuses were for the ligher/'auxillary 12v power' socket. Don't let a failed lighter bust on you; a flaming car is much more expensive than tossing/replacing the bad part or plugging something else in.

On the 2002 GA the cigarette lighter is mini-fuse # 34. This is also referred to as the "accessory power outlets".It's a yellow twenty amp fuse located in the underhood fuse box. Open the box, find the fuse, remove it and replace it.In the fuse box under the hood, marked AUX PWR/CIGAR..... The cigarette lighter fuse is located in engine compartment under hood. Engine Compartment Fuse Block: The under-hood fuse block is located on the driver side of the engine compartment. On some vehicles the cigarette lighter fuse is attached to the cigarette lighter assembly itself. Check if you can gently prise the cigarette lighter assembly out of its location in the dashboard, or remove any panel that may allow access to the rear of the cigarette lighter and look for the fuse (it may be an in-line one in the power lead to the cigarette lighter or it may be physically attached to the cigarette lighter itself). Failing that, the fusebox is normally under the dashboard on the driver side, but some fuseboxes can be found under the dashboard on the passenger side. There should be a diagram under the fusebox cover that shows what circuits each fuse protects. If a fuse has blown ensure that another of the same type and value is used to replace it.

The fuse for the cigarette lighter/auxillary power is located in the under hood fuse/relay block. It is a 20 amp ATM (mini) fuse. It is fuse #34 and is yellow. The location will be shown on the underside of the fuse box cover. Look along the drivers and passenger side inner fender areas for the fuse box. Charlie

Fuse #13 is the cigarette lighter 15amp and for the back seat power socket check fuses #27-10amp, both under the dash and #51 15amp under the bonnet.
