Re: Where to buy Quieltine Parts?

Thor washer dryer has parts. Google them and go to their website. They have a number for support. You usually have to leave a message but they do call back.

Whirlpool thin twin #LT7000XUNO washer timer doesn't turn, have to do everything manually. Easy fix?

A) I've never worker on the dual stacked setups.

B) Standard topload is easy. Make sure you unplug it first, locating a replacement timer will be the hardest part. Most places around here are "wholesale" and only sell to techs. You used to could walk in with a maintenance uniform and buy the parts, for cash, then they started requiring company accounts. We still have at least one that sells retail parts. You may have to check the internet. You'll need the Manufacturer, Model, and , maybe the serial number.

Then the access to the backside of the timer usually involves removing a back panel or lifting the entire top of the assembly. With a dual I'd figure it to be a back panel.

C) Then you second hardest and most critical part is labeling your connections and making sure that you plug them into the exact same place on the new one that they now reside on the old one.

Hotpoint WMF760 fills with water but doesn't move through programme

Bad motor/ DC power inverter control assembly. My suggestion is don't buy electronically controlled washing machines. They're designed to stop working and for corporate to sell you parts and service again and again and again, until you go buy a rebuilt second hand fully electro-mechanical good ole reliable mechanical top load washing machine.

How do i take the timer off a zanussi fl 828 its the old clock work type been a fantastic machine its just the resistor on the top has blown

Most of these timer based on mechanical action is now being out of production. so only if you are able to get to salvage one from a repair store will this be recommendable as buying a new one for a higher price when the machine is old. The stepper motor or the supply to it can be checked and if this is working you can replace the resistor which seems to be blown.

Kenmore model 110.20924990 will only operate in the spin cycle. Does nothing in any other postion on the dial. Does it need a new timer switch?

First, see the Sears Parts site for your washer:!retrieve.pd?pop=true&modelNumber=110.20924990

Initial thoughts are that yes, it seems as if you need a new timer.

These washers use a reversing motor.

When turning one way, the washer agitates.

When it's time for the spin cycle, the motor reverses to run the pump and spin cycle.

Following is the Whirlpool / Kenmore service manual for top load, direct drive washers with troubleshooting and testing procedures for the washers.

Before buying a new timer, I'd check the motor connections first.$FILE/L-55.pdf

Following also is an illustrated guide for how to pull off the cabinet to gain access to the console and motor if necessary.

Here too is a comprehensive diagnostics chart that may prove helpfull.

Won't advance thru cycles, very weak agitation

its seems to have serious transmission problems, hence the rebuilt replacment offer. if the timer has quit also, probably most economical thing to do is get new machine, as these repairs will excede the cost of new unit

The Cycle selector Knob of 417.42052100 is not moving itself. Machine stays in the washing action without moving automatically to the next one

The timer motor is bad. I am assuming that you can move the timer by hand and access all cycles. Usually this means a whole new timer. You can try to order the motor seperately but it is usually not available alone. The new timer can cost around $100. Why don't you try a used appliance store and see if they will sell you one. The timer motor is fairly standard. The timer itself is not. Just buy a used timer and swap motors.

GE Profile Washer

1) Most GE appliances have service manuals. By the manual because it will save you the repair services for the life of the machine. 2) I am not familiar with the GE Profile, so I don't know if it has dial knobs, or control panels. Any way, your problems seem like the timer unit is the problem. If it has dial knobs, the timer costs about US$100 - $150. The control panel circuit probably costs that much. You can buy the service manual and parts from Sears or parts services
