Fault with the main power supply regulator board. Check and replace damaged component/s at its main power regulator [SMPS] section circuit. The output DC voltages comes outfrom it is not normal; and so the flicker occurs. Contact any service technician. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. Surf the site with patience. Pull up older posts. http://electronicshelponline.blogspot.com/ It will be best to replace the power supply regulator board as card basis rather than making "Surgery" to it; which usually will make loss for both money and time.

I believe this unit has an external power supply (black box) attached to the cord. And it may. This is the first place to trouble shoot. This external power supply has a weak capacitor inside. When this happens, the voltage is low and the current is low. If you can test the the voltage (which will be DC) on the output of this power supply, do so.Any reading less than 12 volts indicates this is a weak power supply. Open this black box, and you may see a capacitor with a bulged top. Replace this cap with the same voltage and MFs. Good luck and thanks for asking and show a few hands of support.
