Problem for ViewSonic E70f (Beige) 17" CRT Monitor

Brightness screen always on the screen

Whenever I switch on the monitor or reboot, i can see the brightness screen which would be on zero all the time on the screen which doesn't go. I tried looking at the power issue which is ok and saw all the connections to the monitor. Everything is fine but I am not able to get rid of the brightness meter from the desktop. Please can anyone help me reslove this issue..?
