Sounds like the freezer/refrigerator circulating fan is wearing out, when this happens the rpms are reduced to a point that fan does not circulate enough air to the freezer and the refrigerator. The minimum cost to replace the fan assembly is around $300.00

Frigidaire r134a the freezer is not cooling but the fridge is working

Bobby, I'm not sure what refrigerator you have but are you sure your refrigerator part is working? Did you actually measure the temperature in it? It should be around 40 deg F. The reason I ask this is because in most cases, the refrigerator portion of the unit receives its cold air from the freezer. This suggests that you can't have a problem in the freezer section without a problem in the refrigerator section. You may want to clarify this point before you move on with the diagnosis.

How to lower freezer temperature

Not sure what you mean by the freezer too cold? The freezer section should be at or below 0 degrees C or 32 degree F. if its working properly. If the FF section is too warm and your temp control door or vent is at max cold either the vent is not moving (stuck in the closed position) or the fan in the freezer is not working.

Gladiator Freezerator wont stay frozen in the bottom portion. It will go to temp when temp is mved, but then start to warm up. Why?

If the bottom freezer section of the Gladiator Freezerator is thawing out the usual cause is from the coils in the back of the top refrigerator section being iced up. The ice blockage prevents the fan from circulating cold air into the bottom freezer section. These units have a design flaw due to the defrost drain freezing up preventing water from draining out from under the coil. The long-term solution is to remove the back wall of the refrigerator section to get to the coil, thoroughly defrost the coil making sure the drain tube is clear, then wrap a couple turns of #12 or #14 copper house wire around the bottom of the defrost heater element and run it a few inches into the drain tube. Advise unplugging the unit when you do this.

I've had this fix on my Gladiator for a couple years and it has been working perfectly ever since. The freezer stays a constant 0 degrees F and no more thawed out food.

Not cooling 1/2 the refrigerator and freezer

Hello,
If the lower section of the freezer is whats freezing and not the upper portion, or fresh food section, what you need to check is the fan in the freezer to see if its running to circulate the cold air

Ice maker stopped working, plus fridge not cold, but freezer o.k.

I would check that fan motor in the freezer section is running. it distributes cold air from freezer into refrig section also if this motor is running the top portion of freezer will not get cold enough to allow ice production. the motor is easy to repl and is mod# specific you should be able to buy one online.

Freezer is fine. Fridgerator portion does not cool .

The most likely cause is a bad evaperator fan motor. It is mounted in the freezer section. It blows the air up to the ref section. Open the freezer door and listen to see if you hear any fan noise.
