My fridge is not making any noise (dead silent), also the controls in the fridge are all flashing.

My freezer is not freezing. What would be the problem? Is it the compressor?

My LG 693 LTR fridge freezer model no P247STSL is freezing the food in the fridge and building up ice in the fridge on the left side of the drawers on the wall on the side of the freezer, sometimes the fan...

The reason why fan is making loud noise is because of the ice built up on the coil because of freezing.
You can check your drain line to see if it's clogged and clean it out .
There are several video on you tube showing you how to clean drain line.
Hope this help

Lg fridge freezing food in freezer section

Hi,

Most times this is a bad cold control, but there are other things to check for. Make sure the condenser fan is working and the coils are not covered with dust. A separated heat exchanger ( small capillary tubing soldered to the large suction line ) can separate from one another and make the fridge run too long. - tape tubing back together. A poor working evaporator fan motor could also make the fridge run too long and freeze - replace the fan motor. An inefficient compressor or refrigeration system could make the fridge run too long and freeze - have a service tech check this out. A misaligned control settings, make sure the air damper and cold control have not been bumped and are out of normal settings. Stuck open air diffusers or air dampers are becoming more and more common for allowing too much air to be blown into the fresh food section and freezing things. On all frost free fridge's the freezer temp air is blown into the fresh food section, if you have "easy" to freeze items ( eggs, veggies in water, etc ) in front of or under where the freezer temp air comes out, they could freeze - store them in a different spot. Doors not closing properly making the fridge run too long is something else to check for

the cold control and the air deflector, As you know, the deflector directs the freezer air toward the front of the frig and the rear of the cold control

Hope this helping solving the problem.....

Fridge of my Hotpoint FFA90 fridge-freezer freezes

The fridge gets its cold air from the freezer through a vent(damper) between the freezer and fridge. There is a flap you adjust with the fridge temp. control. Make sure it's opening and closing when you adjust the fridge temp.
The problem could be the electronic control if you have one or the mechanical linkages.

Whirlpool gs6shexns00 fridge

I had a very similar problem- flickering light bulbs, shorting-out noises, electronic temperature displays not working. I had to replace a small circuit board (the "Electronic Control Board") accessed from the rear of the fridge. A relatively easy do-it-yourself job.

Hot Point Side by Side. Freezer works, Fridge not cool enough

check freezer for frost build up and if fan blowing, check condenser make sure clean, and fan blowing, check vents in refrig. make sure no blockage, freezer control should be in the middle setting, you can try turning that to Warmer Freezer allowing MORE air to refrigertor side.
