What do I check next to get dash lights to come on when the headlights are turned on in 2000 olds intrigue. No panel lights in heater/ac panel or dash.

I changed the instrument cluster dimmer switch, the multifunction switch and all the bulbs in the cluster and checked all the fuses good and still no dash lights when I turn the headlights on. By the way the running lights, tail lights and headlights all work fine when the lights are turned on just no dash lights or ac panel lights. Oh all the warning lights like check engine brake etc. all work as well

Have you made sure that the dimmer is not turned all of the way down?

Testimonial: "Turned dimmer switch all the way both directions, tried it in the middle, nothing."

You might pull the switch and use either a lest light or voltmeter see if you have 12v going into the dimmer, if so is there voltage coming out. It might be a bad dimmer. If you do not have voltage you have to trace it back to the supply.

In order for the heater core to be changed out, I'm pretty sure the dash has to come out, and there are many many wires that he could have hit or pinched that would cause this. It's hard and time consuming to trace down the wire that could be the culprit. My suggestion is to take it back to him and let them figure it out on their time and money.

How do i remove an instrument panel to change the

if you cannot reach the light panel from under the dash by laying on yer back with the aid of a flashlight then,.....there are screws underneath the dash itself and this is somewhat moderate as you'll need to find all the screws and remove them to allow the instrument cluster to drop down and tilt forwards to access it that way ...but I would try the first method if it were me.......hope this helps you.

Dashboard wont light up

So, this is not a 2000 Hyundai Sonata? I used to own a 2000 Honda Civic and I believe those lights get power from a fuse inside the fuse/relay panel located on the driver's side under the dash. Check all your fuses. If all fuses are good, you've got a wiring problem - check for power & ground at each bulb. Obviously, if you don't have power to them, it's a power distribution/wiring issue. If you do have power to them but no ground, it's still a wiring issue.

Dimming headlights,blinking headlights

Your alternator may be going bad. Test your battery while it is running with a voltmeter. It should be above 13.0 volts. I would check that first.

No power to heat control or blower motor

R u sure u tested it correctly? There will be a 30 amp fuse usually associated with the blower motor however u need to look at the motor connections with a meter set to ac. These newer cars use a pwm type drive which is a pulsating dc voltage similiar to ac and should vary in amplitude as u turn ur control for speed. If u have that then ur motor is bad and has to be replaced.

I am seeking location of ignition switch wiring on 2000 olds intrigue.  I have under dash removed.

Disconnect Car Battery
I replaced the ignition switch in my wifes 2000 intrigue. (ignition mounted in front dash). I had to take off the knee bump trim and the trim around the instrument housing and remove the instrument cluster. Leave it connected and just lay it on the dash. You also need to remove the radio to get to one of the screws that hold the ignition switch module. Once you get that loose you can pull it out so you can disconnect the wires going to it.
If you need to replace the ignition module insert the key and turn to accessories, there is a small metal button to push in, then your key and the lock part will fall out to install into your knew ignition module. At that time you can also remove the cruise control cable.
I am not a mechanic and the whole process only took me an hour or so.
I replaced my ignition module to fix the heater and AC operation. It also fixed the cruise control that hadn't worked for a year.
