I have a Samsung LN46c630k1fxza the screen went black but still had audio. I changed backlight inverter but still have same issue. Could it be something else?

Sounds like what my flatscreen did. What i found it to be when i removed the back is, capacitors had failed in the main board. Only spend 12 dollars on capacitors, hardest part was soldering them in.

Chances are its the Inverter. However since the audio doesnt work either its also possible that the main board could be the cause. As in most cases audio will still work when an inverter fails. so its about a 50% for each board when the audio doesnt work either. You can get some free assistance yo help troubleshoot which board is at fault from www.tvcircuitboards.com they should also have replacement boards for your model.
This does not seem to be a power supply issue but rather an issue with the backlight inverter board. When the screen goes black, take a flash light and focus it on the screen from a close distance and several angles. See if you notice a very faint image. Try changing the channels to make it more noticeable. Try it and let me know

This problem indicates an issue with the inverter which operates the backlight. It appears that your inverter is malfunctioning. If you have a background in electronics, it is possible for you to repair this yourself if not you will do more damage then good so I would like to suggest that if you do not have a background in electronics that you have a qualified TV technician work on and repair this problem. If you do have a background in electronics you will need to measure the voltages at the inverter and determine that power id present at the inverter's input and at the output to the backlight. You will need a schematic and a multimeter for this task. After finding the component you have a choice of replacing the component or replacing the entire inverter module (this is up to you depending on the cost of each procedure).

Black Screen come from three areas.
1- Power Supply Board
2- Inverter Board
3- Processing Board on the LCD.
Since the Power Supply Board was replace, it easy to troubleshoot where the problem. lies
If you cannot get the backlight, then its the inverter board.
If you can use a flash light on the TV screen and can barely see the images, then the problem is indeed the inverter board.
If you cannot see any images when using a flash light, then the problem comes from the LCD processing board.
