My aiwa tv a 219 remote locked how to open it.

Aiwa television comes with the option of blocking certain channels from viewing, allowing you to control which channels people using the television can view. However, if you forget the code that you entered to block the channels, you might find yourself unable to watch those channels. Fortunately, there are a couple of buttons on the television and the remote that you can press to reset the PIN and customer ID numbers, which unblocks the channels.

Turn the television on.

Press the "Volume Down" button on the front of the TV and press the "7" button on the remote at the same time.

Enter in a new PIN code and new customer ID.

My function for memorize channels isn't working, how do i troubleshoot this problem

Try looking on your remote and see if you have it in TV mode maybe this will help you get your channels. Also you may need to reset your remote to your TV. look in your manual for the remote for a code for your TV also you may need to check your TV and see if you need to put it back in TV mode after you disconnected the cable. Hope this works for you. Also is your TV able to receive HD. remember that the older TV's will not be able to receive the new signals without the converter.

Bought it used without a manual. when turned on the channel is set to a channel that we dont receive. cant figure out how to set a new start channel.

You can access the on-screen menu by pressing the Vol+ and Vol- buttons together on the front of the TV . Alternatively use a remote and press Menu to access the menu (not all low end remotes will match the feature) An exact replacement remote is available here: . Then use the channel up and down buttons on the TV to select menu items. If using the remote use the play, fast forward, fast rewind back and pause to go through the menus. Press Menu to go back one level in the menus.

Once you have the menu up, go to the bottom of the list to Install. Select Tuner Mode (the options are Antenna, Cable and Auto) and make sure that is set correctly. Next select Auto Program to look for all available channels or Edit Channels to change the channels you will see when you change the channel with the Channel up and down buttons.

Please note that the TV only has an NTSC (analog) tuner and must be used with a set-top box to see any channels other than the remaining low power stations that have not switched to digital.

Once you have a new channel list, the TV will remember the last state it was in. (Please note that the A/V inputs are reached by pressing Channel up or down past the tuner channels.

I hope this helps.

If you have a menu button on the front of the Tv, you could search for an autoprogram or channel search menu and select that. Otherwise a cheap universal remote might be needed. You also want to make sure it is selected to receive antenna and not cable channels.

Second toshiba tv and they both do the same thing

Hi, It is possible that your Toshiba is set to receive aerial TV programs and not Cable TV programs. You need to go to the set-up menu (via remote) and go to the air/cable selection. Choose cable and then auto search/scan. This is a generic procedure and should work with your particular brand/model but the terms/names may just be a bit different. You may also consult the users manual for the exact procedure. Hope this give you an idea. Good luck and kind regards.

Need help viewing all public television channels

Your TV is set for standard broadcast. You need to go to the set up menu and change from antenna/normal to cable mode. In standard broadcast mode you receive off the air programs 2-13 vhf and 14-83 uhf. In the cable you receive 2-13 and cable channels 14 -125 if the set is not too old. When cable channels first came out some sets would just cover 14- 36 or 14- 47 or 14-66 etc. The newer sets cover the now standard cable channels 14-125. Hope this helps you Stargazer
