How do I fix the Royal Academy Electric Typewriter 1980's, when I have the power on, it works, but the keys doesn't work at all.

could be a loose or broken motor belt. Tab is mechanical so does not need power

Royal belts aren't made but if yoy have o good hardware store you can get a long "O" ring and it will work.

It may have a broken lead in the keyboard or a loose connector

The belts are no longer made but if you have a good hardware store (not a big box store) you can get a long "O" ring that will work. The ribbons are pretty common I have them in stock.

We should have a belt in stock for this model and ribbon as well. The ribbons is a standard one we refer to as a T-5 (General Ribbon product), this ribbon has an eyelet at both ends of the ribbon which is designed to activate the ribbon reverse. Use a large O ring sometime two of them of the right size. It will work.
