Creating YesDVD on GoVideo VR2940

I have finished recording a home movie to DVD. Was in the process of creating a YesDVD and it seems to have locked up creating the third music video. How can I complete? I have pushed "stop" and nothing happens.

Re: Creating YesDVD on GoVideo VR2940

I have found if there is a tracking problem with a tape in a section it will confuse or "lock up" the unit - unplug from the wall for 10sec and retry.

Disconnect it for a minute, then plug it back in. It should reset it and you should be able to remove it.

We have a govideo vr2940 and the dvd recorder does not copy vhs to dvd. the machine wont read the disk. we tried different types of blank dvd's but still says no disk. i found a solution that says...

I've had this problem (No disc) with my VR2940 and was preparing to open it up and find and clean the lens that detects the disc. This was suggested as a solution.
However, I used a can of compressed air (enviro-duster) and sprayed air in the drive slot (back and forth since I don't know where the lens is located).
No problem since, but I keep a can handy.

DVD tray will not open. Lock is not on. I have tried unplugging the unit then plugging it in again. What do you suggest?

I think your DVD player is trying to read the disk, but it can't. Try unplugging the unit. Holding down the eject button and plugging it back in. After it begins to to power up you can release the eject button. What your wanting to do is to get it to eject before it tries to read the disk. Good luck.

Timer recording on GoVideo VR2940

First, you need to have the cable directly input into the recorder.

If you only plug the cable box into the machine, you get what is happening now.
After splitting the cable, one side into te box and the other into the recorder, run the channel seek part of the program and it will scan all the channels available on the cable and place them in memory.

Then plug the output of the cable box into the other input on the recorder, and you get yor pay channels and upper tiers.

Your recorder is now a switching unit as well
