Shut down after 90 seconds

Does the system report any errors before it shuts down? Typically when a computer has issues like this it means that there is an unfixable issue with the motherboard, normally a capacitor blows and you will sometimes see burn marks on the motherboard.

I attached a sata hard disk in addition to the existing ide hard disk drive in my pt800ce-a motherboard. But the system cannot detect the said sata hard disk. what should i do?

If your existing system is IDE motherboard your new SATA drive will not work as it will have compatibility issue, also the MB will not support it.

The same goes for RAMs, 2 uncompatible RAMs will make the PC slow down or keep shutting down....

I guess you have used an adaptor to connect a SATA disk/cable to the IDE MB, check that, it may be the issue also.

pls leave a feedback and reply

Fujitsu siemens scaleo 600 desktop just keeps shutting down any ideas

1) Bad Power Supply. Power Supply has a weak voltage power rail.

Electrolytic Capacitors are breaking down inside the Power Supply.

The capacitors build up a charge long enough to work briefly, then break down.

2) Electrolytic Capacitors on the motherboard are breaking down. Specifically the one's used in the motherboard Voltage Regulator Circuit.

B) Visually identifying bad capacitors,

C) Video showing what happens with bad capacitors (Electrolytic) in the motherboard Voltage Regulator Circuit (Starts at 0:04)

Await your further diagnoses.

My laptop keeps shutting down, i figured i had a virus so i started to reformat it. now the computer keeps shutting down while it is reformating, what could be the cause of this?

This is because of overheating. Try to use the keeping the laptop in a flat surface, facilitating the ventilation space. Else on long run, it could damage the motherboard, especially the graphics card.

Apart from that you can also buy a cooling base, which could avoid these kind of issues.

Please come abck and rate for my solution if it turns to be helpful for you.
