Henzee, the part you are looking for is called the KitchenAid blender drive coupling. It is the little black rubber piece ontop of the motor base that looks like a crown with six teeth on top. The motor spins this piece which them spins the blades. It is a very common replacement part for the KSB5 blenders made by KitchenAid.

The part number you are looking for is 9704230, i am not aware of any places in Africa that sell the part but you can probably find someone in the USA that can ship it to Africa.

Here is a link to the video we have on changing the part out:

Blender blades do not turn when under load, but run smoothly when empty container It is a Vitamix 6300 model

Check the black driving clutch on the top of the motor that engages with the other clutch half on the base of the blender jug. The fault should be there, normally it will be the motor part.

Blender jar leaks

Check the blade assembly if it is loose tighten it up. If it is worn out or cannot be tightened up then buy another jug complete with blade. If it is the glass jug model then the blade assembly is available without the jug and they also have a replaceable seal at the base.

I have been given a Kenwood BL300 blender. After using it to make breadcrumbs, I undid it somehow and now I can't get it back together. Can't remember if the blade goes straight into the base or the jug,...

You need to unfasten the white base from the clear jug, then the rotating blade will sit inside the white base, with the blade facing upwards. The white rubber flange goes in next. Then screw the assembled base back into the clear jug. The jug should then fit on to the stand.

Leaking from around the base of the jug

When you clean your blender there is a rubber washer in between the blades and where they sit and the glass. Try pushing the blade assembly through the bottom and locate the large washer. Peal it off carefully under warm water then either try to replace it or clean it carefully in soapy dish water. Let me know if this helps, OK?

Broken glass jug on kitchenaid blender model 5ksb2aer4

Look at the underside of the blade shaft. The metal wing nut on the end of the shaft secures the blade assembly to cream coloured plastic blade base. The wing nut also transmits the drive from the rubber coupling on your blender to the blade shaft. The wing nut has a LEFT HAND thread.
The left hand thread ensures the blade assembly does not unscrew during normal blender use.

Firstly disassemble the blender blade assembly. Place a folded tea towel over the blades and hold the blades firmly. If you do not use a tea towel you may cut yourself.

Grip the wing nut with your other hand and unscrew it CLOCKWISE.
Remove the wing nut. You can now remove the blade from the plastic base.

Put the blade assembly in the new jug and offer up the plastic base from under the jug so that the blade shaft protudes enough for you to install the wing nut.

Screw the wing nut ANTI-CLOCKWISE to secure the blades to the plastic base.

Do not over tighten the wing nut; you may have to replace your jug again at some point.

Kitchen Aid Blender - blade not rotating

You will definitely need to change the clutch blade i.e. the black rubber rotating bit. Chaging it on the base unit may be difficult, I would check with your local Kitcheaid repairer for spare parts and repair advice.

Also check the clutch blade on the jug itself.
