It could be the updates or drivers causing the problem but, it could also be your printer settings. Check to see if you have any of the enhancement features selected. If so it will take longer to print than if it is in regular text mode.

I hope this helps.

Check the print quality settings in the Printer Control Panel. If set to best and color it will slow printing considerably and use ink much quicker. Draft and B&W printing is usually fastest and sips ink compared to other modes.

Turntable running slow

Hi Ken,

it is a Technics Frequency Generator Servo (Belt drive SL-23). I have four different belts and neither one of them works. Two are too slow and one is too fast and the other one is slow and fast.

I changed the belt before that I got off of an old turn table. It deteriorated.

I would appreciate any help.

So far I am also having Gateway Monitor problems and Canon Mp560 printer problems

Thank you,.

Why slow startup (10 min) and slow printing (+ 1 hour)?

Sounds like you may have a mechanical problem with the printer itself.

My printer Canon PIXMA E510 prints very slow.

See if it has a quiet mode for using it late at night. It prints slower, but much quieter.

It also depends on what you are printing. PDF files are the worst, because they are in fact a huge image.

Treat yourself to an MG7120 like I have. Fast and quiet, plus wifi enabled. I print from my iPhone.

Hello Ken,
If the mem bank of printer is full it will slow down, go into Control panal on PC, hit Printer icon, highlight icon and right mouse click, go to prop click empty drafts and copies, and you will see the junk go in bin.

Kyocera fS-920KX. Not printing

There are actually some certain meaning on the red light and green light showing different information to user. The summaries are:
1) Green On, Red Off = Printer Ready.
2) Green Fast-Flashing, Red Fast-Flashing = Printer warm up.
3) Green Fast-Flashing, Red Off = Printer off-line.
4) Green Slow-Flashing, Red Off = Processing Data.
5) Green Off, Red On = Cover Opened, Toner Empty or Developer Unit / Drum unit missing.
6) Green Off, Red Fast-Flashing = Paper Jam or waiting for jam reset.
7) Green Off, Red Slow-Flashing = Paper Empty or Paper tray is not inserted.
8) Green Off, Red Off = Printer power is off.
9) Green Very-Slow-Flashing, Red Off = Printer in sleep mode.
10) Green (any condition above), Red Slow-Flashing = Toner low or paper empty.

So what is your printer condition? Better know what is going on your printer so can solve the problem

My printer wont load paper so i can print

Hiya

My Canon started doing the exact same thing. I tried several mods but no luck. Seemed like it would **** hard when starting to print thus mis-aligning the paper. What I found that did worked and solved my problem was putting the printer into 'quiet' mode. In this mode it doesn't **** the paper in as fast and thus doesn't jam. I don't think it has jammed since the change and there's no really noticeable slow down in the output.

Pull up the properties dialog for the printer and go to the maintenance tab.Select 'quiet mode' button and then set it to always use quiet mode. Worked for me. Hope it works for you!
