Hi Kristen

You MIGHT have to press "clock", set the time and then press "clock" again to complete the operation. What make and model of microwave is it?

if opening the door and closing it again wont clear this message, you have a door switch fault that will need to be repaired by a appliance tech

Whirlpool Microwave Hood Combination MH3184XPS-0 (October 2004), for no reason at all, this morning keeps beeping and running the power setting down from 10 to 1, and just keeps doing it in rapid sequence....

Ours just started doing this exact same thing this past Friday - 12/11/09. What's going on? The cook power just starts beeping all by itself and going from 10 down to 1 over and over again. It may stop momentarily, but then starts again within a minute or so - it's constant until we unplug it. We plug it back in and within a few minutes it starts doing it again. What gives?

I have a danby designer microwave oven modle # DMW753W SIN # 170705120067 the timer keeps beeping and won't keep time. When you try and use it it will not shut off. we got this as a gift for christmas...

The first thing I would suggest is a hard reset. Unplug the unit for a minute or so. Then plug it back in, set the clock and try again. If that doesn't work, leave it unplugged for maybe an hour.

If you still have trouble, contact Danby Customer Service US / Canada.

Westinghouse microwave WST3502..... Problem:

Press "Clock", type in the time on the keypad and then press "Start". The clock runs a little slow (at least on mine) and I have to reset it about once a month. It gets about 10 - 15 minutes behind after awhile.

MICROWAVE CONTROL

The first thing to try is a "hard reset". Unplug it from the power line for a few minutes, plug it back in, set the clock, then try again.

Let us know if the hard reset doesn't fix it.
