In most cases, the main board might have to be replaced. If so, a software [firmware] update too might be necessary.
Reformulate you question to undesrstand it.
I understand that you want to change the Firmware of your
Lcd tv model TLCD-37fhda because it makes loud sound when put on/off.
Now, that makes not much sense to me
You need to get in touch with Lg and they will help you. All you need is for them to either post you a usb with software or they can email it to you and you can put it on a usb and put it on your tv via usb port and update the software on your tv.
The frequency for the new channel is not on your tv but they will give you the software to update so it works.
Contact your LG dealer to request a service call out, it is very possible the operating software requires to be updated to the latest version especially if you have had the TV for quite a while. Once this is done if the problem still persists then there will be a problem with the audio processor & this will need replacing.
There are some software updates for some of these tv's for simular issues, but without a model i can't know for sure. Check the sony website, put your model number in and they can tell you if you need a software update. But it definatly sounds like a software issue.
put the thumb drive into your television then power the unit on--the tv will run a scan and install the updated software--- there is more info in the owners manual
