No power . Plug fuse is good. - Samsung SV5000 VCR

Have you tried unit in another cars plug-in? There should be a fuse between the silver tip of the plug and the wires connected to it. I would determine if the plug in is bad then the plug itself. If plug in is dirty plug is not making good connection to power unit. Plug in is also protected by a fuse in your cars fuse box.

Sometimes the wire on the bottom side of the outlet comes loose. Remove the out let and check the wires. If the wiring is good, check with a test light or meter and see if you have power at the outlet. If there is power there, replace the outlet, If not, check the wiring back to the fuse box

if you mean a 4 pronged plug at the rear of your vehicle that allows you to plug in and tow a trailer safely and legally , then get yourself a testlight and check each prong for power. 1 leftturn, 2-rightturn, 3-parking lights 4-ground .if you have no power at plug check condition of wiring connections at plug and follow harness to source. if you have power at plug the problem is in the trailer. check groundwire, wiring,and bulbs.

normally if it does not work you will check the fuse box for the appropriate fuse and check to make sure it is good. if the fuse is good then remove the insrument panel andc check for power at the plug. if there is power at the plug then the instument power board is faulty and must be replaced.

First check the fuse(s) under the hood, fuse box on drivers side, location of fuses on inside of fuse box cover, if fuse is good,then check for power to the fuse (test light) make sure it is connected correctly. If all is good the you will have to replace the plug assembly there is NO repair. Make sure it is a power plug and NOT a cigarette lighter plug.

Is the power going through the fuse?
I have seen fuses that looked ok, but were broken inside.
If power is getting through the fuse, then the power wire must be broken or cut somewhere.
You will have to trace it back to the fuse box, checking along the way with a 12 volt DC testing probe.

General motors likes to run the power source to ALDL connector plug through the cig lighter fuse or the asscerory lighting fuse . you need to check these fuse and make sure they are good . if they are not replace the fuse and see if your code reader work . If the fuse are all good then you will have to check the power circuit the feeds the AlDL connector for a short or and open

either the switch is bad or the power seat electric motor is bad. all motors, electric or fuel powered will fail eventually.

if the socket is good, and a fuse good, the plug on the GPS may have a fuse in it. usually the tip of the plug will unscrew and a fuse is inside. The owners manual will pinpoint Aux Socket 1 and 2 for the fuses at the fuse box under the dash.

it shares the same curcuit as the cigar lighter. it is # 34 it is a 20 amp. it is in underhood fuse and relay box. have a good one!!
