Frigidaire Affinity ATF6000F Front Load Washer Logo

I have a front load model ATF7000FGO that has stopped spinning. Any suggestions? I am seeing many folks talking about door latch issues?

I was washing loads today and was washing my third load. I heard the washer beeping but it wasn't the same as when a load is finished, I went to check the machine and saw ERR in the display window. I hit cancel, opened the door, to find water and suds still standing in the load that was in progress. I am guessing this load just didn't spin out? Any suggestions on what may have occurred to the machine? I haven't tried anything so far because I have no idea where to start. Thanks.

Washer does not spin

Hello melchor - Is the washer making a humming noise? If so, either the drain hose or pump is clogged and needs to be cleaned. Will the drum manually rotate (when it is not in use)? If it does not, then the washer drum may not be balanced and/or possibly have a broken shock/bearing. Is the door securely latching? Supposing it is not, then the door latch assembly will need replacing. However, since it is such a complex unit, I strongly suggest contacting a professional to accurately pinpoint any potentially more serious issues like the timer, pump or control board not communicating correctly.

All cycles are working except the spin cycle. I have visually inspected the wiring connections and motor and dont see any obvious issues. There are no error codes and the LED lights seem to be functioning...

Because of the high spin speeds of front load washers, the doors are equipped with a latch and lock mechanism to prevent the door from being opened during the washers operation. These locks will often be actuated by a solenoid or wax motor to ensure they remain latched during the wash cycle. This model uses a two stage lock that latches the door when the load starts, and then when it is time to spin, the second lock engages to ensure the door is properly secured prior to beginning the spin. When this second lock engages, it also closes a set of switch contacts (the auxiliary door switch) telling the control board the door is closed and locked. If for some reason this switch is not closed, the washer will tumble during what would normally be the spin cycle until the entire cycle is complete.

Front load GE Adora washer isn't spinning when it should. Other sites I see they talk about replacing the door lock assembly...what else could it be?

I had the same problem with my front load (different model). The pump was not pumping out the water, thus stopping or slowing the spin. Take off your pump (located under the washer in the front right on my model) and look inside to see if there is any junk stopping the plastic spinner to spin. Clean out really good along with the attached hoses. Replace (tricky!) and try the washer! I had lots of junk in the pump along with a few hairpins that stopped the sinner in the pump. This is a tricky process on my model.

The machine runs until the spin cycle then stops

That means that you need to have the door latch replaced, a bad door sensor is preventing the washer from spinning.
Try first unjamming the latch with a stick, like a pencil for example.
If that does not work, replace the door latch.

Affinity front loader ATF7000FGO E23 ERROR

E23 error code means the drain pump relay on the control board failed or wire off pump. You already replaced control board so check the wire at the pump and make sure it's secure.

Washer not spinning

You're problem is probably the door latch assembly. This is a common problem on Frigidaire front load washers. You can find the part at your local appliance parts suppliers. If the door latch assembly is faulty, the washer will run through all of its normal cycles, but will not spin. Hope this fixes the problem for you.

Maytag Front Load Washer - SD error

hi there,

it appears that you have a door switch problem. the door latches on these machines are equiped with a mechanical switch and if this switch disengages in any way, the machine thinks that the door is open, even if it's not.

the code that you see is actually a "dS", which stands for door switch.

check the door latch, which is where the door switch is located.

thanks.
