Washing machine stops and says E1 mid cycle.

Hi from retired Englishman in SW France,
Sorry but I only have codes for Baumatic dishwashers!

However because you state it stops mid-cycle I would gently suggest as a first step that you clean the drain motor/pump lint tray/filter. So many 'faults' are caused by blocked filters and many machines will not even go to rinse or spin or release the door lock if there is any water still left inside.
Following are my complete and hopefully 'coverall' pre-typed guidance notes for checking both the drain motor filter and the drain motor ;-0)

REMOVE POWER AND ENSURE YOU HAVE A WATER RECEPTACLE/RAGS TO SOAK UP THE WATER WHICH IS BOUND TO POUR OUT (alternatively use a wet vac as sensibly suggested by VinnyB1234!)
If you are unsure where the filter is, it is often behind the front lower (kick) panel (or in some machines at the rear in an awkward position!). These panels are either held on by (plasic) screws or will just pull off. Most filters are held in by a round cover/knob. Sometimes the filter will not come out with the cover and you will have to persuade it to come out to play.
It's surprising what people have found in theirs! It is always worthwhile checking it on a regular basis.
Now- whilst the filter is removed it is normally possible to see the drain motor and ensure it is not jammed by a foreign object such as a needle or a toothpick. It should be able to be turned by hand/finger- the power IS OFF!
At this point it is also possible to test if the motor works. No clothes or water in the machine, select a spin cycle and put the power back on. You should be able to see the motor turning at some point, possibly straight away. Using something suitable like a glove see if it is easy to briefly slow the motor down. If it is easy then the motor is malfunctioning.

If this has assisted you please consider a 4 thumbs up for the rating.
Thanks and good luck!

Have a baumatic extractor fan and am unsure how to clean filters. There are no sponge filters inside only steel fittings and mesh. Can anyone help me?

The steel mesh panels are the filters, can be hard to clean if not done regulary. You can put them in the top rack of your dishwasher but you shouldn`t use detergent as it can change the colour of them. The other option is just to wash them in dishwash detergent in the sink, can be a bit awkward and if not done regulary, a bit hard to get completely clean. I tend to soak them for a while, wash them and then run really hot water through them. Hope this helps.

I have a baumatic class a 6KG 1100rpm washing machine and it is showing error code F04 - what does that mean? How do I fix it? Please help Rachel

I have had this same problem - you need to clean the drain as a starting point. You can do this by removing the front panel at the bottom of the machine (you will need a Torx head screwdriver) then gently unscrewing the filter on the bottom right hand corner. Keep a tray underneath though - as water will flood out as you remove the filter! If the filter is full of fluff, you should be able to fix the machine by cleaning it out and then putting it back in.

The water wont drain and the is a clicking noise coming out of the water pump motor

Something may be stuck in the pump impeller causing it to make a clicking or rattling noise. Disconnect power then remove the lower front access panel to access the pump filter and the pump impeller.

Remove the three screws attaching the lower front access panel to the cabinet then pull the panel down and off the cabinet. You can prop up the bottom front edge of the washer or cushion and lean it against the wall to access and remove the screws more easily.

Drain the water into a bucket or shallow pan and lay a piece of towel under the pump filter prior to the removal of the filter. Turn the filter knob counterclockwise to remove and clean it. Reach in the pump to check if it is restricted or detached from the pump motor spline. Replace the pump assembly if the impeller is broken or detached.

The machine won't spin , machine will wash but won't do the final drain and won't spin at all :(

It is probably due to a blocked pump filter.
You need to locate and clean the filter.

Hotpoint aquarius WMA58 spinning but not draining away all the water

Suggest you check pump filter.
you will find it located at the rear right side of the m/c.
Remove lower rear panel, there you will see a large black hose, remove securing clip, and detach hose, the filter is located inside, remove and clean, make sure you put everything back in the same order you took it off.
This should solve your prob. Make sure the drain hose is not clogged and the outlet is clear also.
Plz rate my solution.
Thanks.

Lights flashing and beeping on drain stage

When this has happened to us, it has meant a new control panel being fitted. It has been nothing to do with the draining process, just the electronics. The control panel isn't too expensive, but if you call a Baumatic engineer he will come out, do nothing and come out again and it will prob take about a month. I suggest you find a fixed price engineer who will perhaps be able to mend it on his first visit if you suggest the control panel. We have so many problems, we tend to buy in spares in advance so that they are in the house for the engineer and he can't fob us off with a return visit two weeks later. The parts that go are doorstraps, the control panel, the thermostat and the element. We haven't mended the control panel ourselves, but all other problems are pretty easy to do yourself.
