Toshiba 32c100u dead; power supply board replaced but still nothing

Have you checked whether mains power reaches the power board? Check it first. If yes, the power board you purchased newly should be checked.

My 32in Sony Bravia just died and has no power at all!

That problem is usually have 2 causes..Its either power supply board or main board..

Please take this steps on how to determine the problem:
1. Open the back cover.
2. Check the power supply output...It should have 5vdc for the main board..12vdc or 16vdc for the audio and 24vdc for the back-light inverter..
3. If those 3 voltage supplies have encountered voltage drop...The problem could be on power supply board..
4. If the power supply output is normal..The problem could be on the main board...
5. If the problem is power supply you should check if the capacitors are bulged on the top and try to replaced it..If you can't do that you can purchased new power supply board..
6. If the problem is on main board there is no D.I.Y repair on that so you need to buy a new main board that fits to your TV..
Hope this solution will be helpful..

I want know where can I purchase a power supply board the HP vs17 lcd monitor?

You can purchase a power supply board for HP laptops from the below link:

http://www.partshere.com/online/detail.asp?partno=0950-2417

If we can know the part number of your HP computer, you can find the exact Power Supply board for your computer model.

You can find the part number of your computer from the below link:

http://partsurfer.hp.com/cgi-bin/spi/main?jumpid=reg_R1002_USEN

You can find it even from HP parts store.

I would try the power supply first as the ATC336 has a history of the bad power supply boards. If the power supply doesnt fix it then I would think it may possibly be the ballast

Faulty power supply unit?

You can contact the manufacture to purchase the power supply module.

However, there are other boards in the set that can easily cause the power supply failure because something went defective. It is also possible that the power supply is not defective, but it is in protect mode because of a failure on another board, or in some other device in the set.

The tech would follow procedure from the service manual using the proper instrumentation and diagnostics to determine the defective board(s). Then he would replace the necessary modules and or parts to get the set working again.

In the end if you try fixing this yourself, you can end up spending a few hundred dollars on a power supply and only find that it blows again or goes in to protect mode because the original fault was not determined and corrected.

Phillips 42" LCD Mod#42PF722OA/37

This problem is related to two failures, one is the Power Supply Board, another one is the Y-Main Board. Troubleshoot procedures:

1. Disconnect the Vs Power Supply cable from the Power Supply Board,
2. Turn on the tv and check the Vs voltage on Power Supply Board,
3. If the Vs voltage is there, then the Y-Main board failed.
4. If the Vs is not there, then the Power Supply Board failed.
