Bought a 10/28. Rear engine mower and haven't a clue what year it is? Serial# is 008271 Model# is 927046. Need help

check to see if the key in the axle is in place or if you put it in gear the axle turns in the wheel . is the pulley in place and not loose. the belt is good you said. but the pulley may be stripped. (axle key, belt, pulleys, or belt off of pulley)

There should be a sticker/plate mounted on the motor - usually on the passenger side( if it was a car). It may also be under the seat. If those are not present, it will be stamped on the motor ( usually, depending on what year your mower is) Driver side, rear. if all of the above options are no good, you'll need to get the full serial and model numbers and contact the manufacturer.

If you look around the rear axle you should see a half moon shape shoe that is the brake and there should be a rod coming off of that to adjust the brake.

Some times, the seals not sealed yet not being run. Check all your oil and gear oil levels and run it. Hope everything will be ok then.

You'll need the model and serial number and also the carb will be helpful, if you take that info and the carb to your local lawnmower shop they will be able to supply you with the right kit.

My 98 Grand Voyager 3.3L engine # is located on the rear of the cylinder block, below the cylinder head, your 99 should be the same location. It contains the last digit of the model year, manufacturing plant, engine, usage (car, truck), month/day, serial code (last 8 digits of vin). countrycurt0
