I have problems with my windows 7 physical memory running very high (when none action is in progress) (ACER ASPIRE)

Check how many programs your laptop runs at startup.
There is a little icon next to your battery meter looking like this ^ click and see how many programs are running in there. You can also go onto your Control Panel and look for "Perfomance Information and Tools" it'll walk you through speeding up your computer no end.
And get Microsoft Security Essentials instead of NOD, it works in harmony with your OS and does everything you need to keep your PC safe.

I am unable to type anything on my laptop although cursor is flashing

a flashing cursor is indicative of programs running the backround, and a freeze indicates too many things running in the backround, such as the page you are on is loading files or photos. or perhaps a previous page is still loading,or one of the auto updaters are downloading drivers or perhaps you are multitasking {working several pages at on time } in any case it is necessary to reduce processor usage by reducing the number of running programs. If in fact none of this is the case, close all pages and return to desktop. click start ,programs, accessories, system tools. disk defragmenter. click defragment. wait for program to finish and close out all programs. shut down computer, and pull power plug for at least 30 seconds. restart computer, it should be better.
Good Luck !

Why does my Dell Vostro 330, running Windows 7 Pro 32-bit go into sleep mode, even though I am telling it not to?

If your sure after going into the control panel and going into the power options icon that all your power settings are set to none then there could be something in the background that is causing the laptop to go into sleep mode.
Click on the windows logo in the bottom left hand corner and in the search box type in the word MSCONFIG. Press enter and then go into the startup tab. You'll see all the programs that are running. Best things is to click on the box that says disable all. click on apply then okay and let the computer restart. Let it run for a while and see if it goes into sleep mode still. If it does then that means there is an issue with the Operating system and you should try doing a system restore (located in the system tools section) back to the last date the laptop was working properly.
If it stays out of sleep mode then that means one of the programs that was disabled is the culprit. You'll have to go back into msconfig and enable all the programs and then disable the ones you know you dont have to have starting up when you go into windows.

I have an aspire 3053 laptop it is so slow its unbelievable is it possable to change the memory to speed it up its about 3 year old

Is your computer running Windows Vista Home Basic?
Does it have 512MB of RAM installed?
If yes to both questions, then adding 2048MB of RAM will _definitely_ speed-up your computer.

See: where you can buy 2GB (2048MB) of DDR2-4200 RAM for $38 US.

The usual cause for a "slow" computer is too-many programs running at the same time (not too many programs installed onto the disk-drive) competing for too-small amount of RAM.

Turn the computer off.
Disconnect the AC power-cord.
Flip the computer over.
Remove the battery.
Remove the screws over the memory cover (at the centre of the bottom).
You'll either see a stick of RAM, or an empty slot for RAM.
Remove any existing RAM, and insert the new stick of RAM.
Replace the cover.
Insert the battery.
Connect the AC power.
Boot it up, and it will run _MUCH_ faster.

When i switch my laptop on the following options are showed. launch startup repair, starts windows normally none of them work. what should i do?

Try restarting the computer and hold down the F8 key while the computer is booting, You should get an option to boot into safe mode, Select safe mode and see if the desktop loads. If it does then run system restore (Start, All Programs, Accessories, system tools, system restore) and restore the computer to an earlier state. Well i hope this helps.

There is a fake anitvirus 2010 that has infected

Out of all of those solutions for the antivirus virus the only solution that I have found to work was to download a program called Malware Bytes. you can google search it or download it from Other then that the only other way to fix the issue is to format your hard drive

It made a noise then it turned off, now it will not turn on and also the charger light does not come on

Sorry to hear about your problem. Lets see what we can do to get you back up an running...

If your computer will turn on then turn off try this:

OK. First go here Then go HERE

The first download is for Utorrent2.gif, a very small bittorrent program.

The 2nd is for the program that will fix this problem for you.

After installing Utorrent (or skip if you already have a torrent program) Go to the 2nd link and start the download of Spinrite.

Once the program is completely downloaded, virus check it.

Burn Spinrite onto a disk

Go the to the machine with the problem and load the disk.
Insert disk and Reboot system

Run the program at Level 5 not the default which is 2.
After letting the program run in its entirety remove the disk and reboot. you should be ready to rock..!

If your laptop is DEAD (you hit power button and nothing happens at all)

1. remove battery and plug into AC power - try to start
2. try starting with only battery installed - no ac plug

if none of this works it sounds like your Power supply has puckered out. IF this is the case I would visit the manufacturers website for information on replacing it.
